Cool concept, minor issues
(Just a quick update to say I'm upset to see this is no, longer developed. I emailed the developers with a suggestion or two, and was told they're not working on it any more :-( Too bad, as it's a very cool app that could use some love.)
This timer is excellent for meditation sessions. The lack of numbers, but still showing passage of time if you care to look is excellent, and the alarm sounds at a low volume are wonderful to draw you out gently and back to the world.
I love the concept of this app, but it's missing a few details. How about making the controls (pause button) fade out after several seconds? Touch the screen to bring up controls, then give us a pause button. Color controls would be nice, as the white can be quite glaring at night.
Overall I love the concept of the visual countdown (sans numbers) and hope to see further development.
Something that should be fixed is that the default screen orientation is upside down if the iPad is in landscape in an Apple iPad case. Also, the iPhone could use a landscape view.
I did have a weird freeze where it showed an icon that looked sort of like a movie projector or spotlight. A manual quit and restart of the app fixed it.
I like this elegant timer, but I need something checked into. On my iPhone4, (It's disabled, but I still can use WiFi to access the Internet!), with the current iOS 8 software (version 8.2 (12D508)), I sometimes have a problem getting it to work correctly. It will work, then it will act up. It works off and on. I've tried to close out the app and relaunch it. That helps some, but not all the time. I would appreciate it if this was resolved so that it would work every time the app is launched. Or make an update to it so it is compatible with only software version iOS 8 and higher, and for iPhone4's, 5's, and 6's. I would appreciate this if this was done. Great app nevertheless!
Unique timer app
Pretty cool timer app and interface. I use this for the pomodoro technique (although the app isn't specifically designed for it, you can easily apply the technique to any timer). It's worth mentioning that background notifications must be enabled to allow the timer to ring in the background or while you're in another app. It works nicely because of this successful feature!
I had trouble getting the app to work as expected after initial install. I had to force close three times but then I was able to set the time... I remembered this behavior from the previous time I had installed.
