Ratings and Reviews
In the search for the best PR Apps for PR professionals I stumbled upon a few different choices to lastly choose one to review and add to my blog. I decided to review Upitch because honestly, I think this app is genius. Upitch is basically a media relations tinder. How it works is, you can easily create a pitch note, a brief announcement, and upload it to the app for journalist to swipe left or right if they are interested in your pitch. I think this app is awesome because it also allows you to network with journalists from all over the USA. This app makes it possible to network through your pitch so you can let your work speak for itself. It requires you to add images to your pitch, this can be used to capture the attention of a journalist. Upitch allows you to also link your social media and website which is good for journalists to find out a little more about you or what you do. Every PR professional should be using this app too because as a PR you want to reach as many people as possible and what better than journalists to help you with that and it is extremely easy to navigate. The only thing I would like to see is other people’s pitches from different categories, it’s always good to know what your competition is doing.
If I could have a Wish App it would be an app where PR professionals can stay in network with publishers, record labels, or better yet an app to register your services so that people who need any PR service can go to and find their person based on their location and category
Won’t open. Says connectivity low. Never witnessed this for any app ever. Poo just poo
Good in theory
Upitch is good in theory, but it needs a few tweaks to make it something journalists will use. It lacks what the vast majority of journalists seek - localization. Reporters need to connect a pitch with their niche audiences. So far the app only lets you input "North America" or other vast regions as your coverage area - that's it terribly unhelpful. A state option, city, or even region (Northwest, New England) would be far better. Also, most pitches lack a connection other than selling a product. There needs to be some angle in there at least.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
