Description

Upsie is a new mobile technology that reinvents the warranty experience, so you can protect the products you love at prices you can afford.

Upsie features include:
- The same quality coverage that’s sold at big-box stores or other providers, but at a 50 to 90 percent discount over traditional prices (depending on product).

- Reliable protection through Upsie’s partner, New Leaf Service Contracts, backed by A-rated insurance providers and offering a consistently high level of customer service.

- A simple, intuitive interface for browsing, comparing and buying warranty plans for hundreds of products. Barcode scanning and search features allow users to compare and buy warranties while shopping, whether it’s an in-store or online purchase.

- A longer window to purchase coverage on a new product, instead of a hurried point-of-purchase decision. Simply buy the coverage needed, and then scan the receipt for proof of purchase. It’s that easy.

- No deductible on warranties, and only a $25 deductible for ADH coverage.

- Tracking and reminder features that catalog all warranty purchases, receipts and claim instructions, while sending prompt notifications of expiring coverage. Say goodbye to a hodgepodge of file folders and shoeboxes that get turned upside-down whenever a claim is made.

- Terms and conditions in plain English that clearly explain coverage limitations, claim processes and exclusions, so there are no surprises. In addition to protecting the products people love, Upsie also protects from legal mumbo-jumbo overload.

What's New in Version 1.9.3

- Streamlined payment method process
- Improved formatting of user input
- Updated messaging of purchase process
- Increased security measures to protect against credit card fraud

Customer Reviews

Excellent

Spent a long time comparing services, fine print. Without a doubt the cheapest, most transparent and easiest to work with. Really easy to use the app. Answered all of my questions before and after purchase.

Great prices!

Really nice app with cheap warranty options. I just got a warranty for my new iPhone for much cheaper (and a lower deductible) than others . I can't rate the actual warranty process, but if I ever have to go through that I will update this review.

Upsie is a reseller. Actual warranty experience is horrible.

Update - after I posted a review the company's CEO reached out and is working with me now to make things right. Also, it sounds like they are no longer using the same warranty provider which is good news.

I've had a terrible experience with Upsie. Sure, their app is nicely designed, you save money in comparison to other warranties, yada yada. But, when it comes to actually using the warranty, the experience is just about as bad as I can imagine. The problem with Upsie is they're a reseller for another company called New Leaf (look them up on Yelp).

My diswasher failed almost 6 months ago.

I was assigned a repair company by New Leaf. A big issue is they're located across a bridge about 60min from me and they only cometo my area on Tuesdays. This initially created for some scheduling troubles. The communication from all sides - New Leaf, Upsie, the dishwasher repair guy - is not proactive at all. I've literlaly been making phone calls and sending emails every week for almost 6 months to try and get this dishwasher replaced. When they first came out, they replaced the entire dishwasher's motor. That didn't end up working. I let them know and it took something like 6 weeks to come out and replace the part again. Then, the 2nd replacement motor didn't work.

New Leaf and the dishwasher company claim the delays are because the parts are on backorder. My issue with that is I can see the parts they need being sold BRAND NEW by part sellers online. New Leaf claims they don't want to take the risk of buying a part online since they "won't be certain of the condition". It's such rediculousness.

I've asked Upsie numerous times to connect me with a different repair guy or allow me to buy parts and get reimbursed. At one point they said I could get reimbursed on parts, but, then the renegged on that. Upsie convinently places the blame on New Leaf when I try to reach out.

The Upsie experience, for appliaances at least, feels like it's designed to rob you of your time so you'll eventually give up. Luckily I work from home - I can't imagine how someone would feel if they took 3 days off from work so far.

At this point I'm about to just cancel the warranty and hire a handyman locally, which I should've done in the first place and you should do if you're someone who values their time and sanity.
