Deeper, richer and more visual storytelling as well as some great new features…
- Choose your news headlines view: scan the headlines with “List” or lean back and enjoy the image-rich “Grid”
- Save your stories: Not enough time to finish reading an article? Do you have to power down your iPad on the plane? No problem, just save the article and read it later!
- Media index: Do you want to interact with the news? Now you can access a vast selection of USA TODAY photo galleries and videos. Our news is now more informative and comprehensive

You can own your news experience…

How do you read the news? The new app lets you choose your news view: “list” or “grid”. The “list” view will give you a quick scan of the news in the morning when you’re on the go, and the “grid” view offers a visual look into the day’s stories when you have more time to kick up your feet.

Looking for quick access to the sports scores, Snapshots and more? Your favorite USA TODAY features are always close at hand - you can access them via a new sliding panel on the left side of the screen. Customize the panel to fit your interests, and hide it when you’re scanning the headlines.

How about the weather? Well, it’s still cool! USA TODAY has re-imagined its weather coverage with:
- A large, resizable weather map featuring radar and satellite animation
- 10 day forecast
- Hourly forecast
- Weather alert support

The Good Old Days

Thanks for listening to reason and getting back to what works. Now if you could please improve the crossword, both content and performance, it would be a great move forward. You might start with more or a different author. Variety would greatly improve the repetitiveness from your current source. any improvement would be greatly appreciated..

I depend on the USA crossword puzzle to start my day every morning. And it is usually trouble-free but after several months, I can't go back to previously unfinished puzzles. After typing in a letter or two, a notice appears and congratulates me on finishing the puzzle whether I have one open space or 50. It drives me crazy!
I have read and re-read the trouble-shooting instructions to reset the app to no avail. So, I have to delete the app and then go back in and re-install the app I just deleted! Nuts!

It's just OK

I've been using this app for years. I prefer APmobile for unbiased news and use this to fill in some holes and to do crosswords.

The main NEWS page has both news and items that belong in other sections. There's a more gossipy feel to what they call news. It seems like there's an article about Trump several times per week (vs. almost never in AP).

The section called LIFE should just be called Hollywood. It's mostly about film stars and people who are famous for being famous.

The money section is pretty light. The opinions expressed are either purposefully vague or so basic that one almost never needs to look at that page.

Generally a stable app. But lately the app crashes when I exit from the crossword.
