NO TIME to get fluent? Need the basics now?
"Fun intelligent interactive learning games. Worth the money." ***** MarPixel
"Unlike many other apps, this one makes learning fun and doesn't get boring." ***** iPhonoah
Developed by a company with 20 years of experience in language learning and over ten million customers, uTalk gives you the key words you need and a fast, scientific way of remembering them.
Unlike a phrasebook or translator, this beginners app hardwires basic spoken Navajo into your brain so that it feels like your first language.
WHAT you learn
Learning fewer words which trip off the tongue like your own language is far better than learning heaps that aren't there when you want them, so uTalk focusses on the basics – 275 of the words and phrases you're most likely to need including how to order a drink, find a chemist and ask for an aspirin! Plus food, phrases, colours, numbers, shopping and more.
HOW it works
This interactive product is the result of extensive research into how the brain learns fastest. It uses:
• Images – to stimulate both halves of our brains, visual as well as logical.
• Fun quizzes – because we remember best what we’re interested in.
• Speech, recording and playback – to perfect your accent by comparing with native speakers.
• A point scoring system – that gives feedback on progress and rewards success.
WHY waste time? Download now and see how much vocabulary you can learn in a spare 10 minutes with this best-selling method from EuroTalk!
English not your first language?
Don’t worry! You can learn Navajo from any of over 100 languages – all in this single app.

Ratings and Reviews
I give this app three stars because I am psyched about having a little bit of Dine on my iTouch, but clearly this is a cookie-cutter production--the vocabulary lists and phrases are obviously the same for every uTalk language and, while this seems fairly logical for "larger" languages, like Cantonese and Croatian, the short-comings to such a strategy are immediately apparent when applied to a smaller language belonging to a community of speakers that is almost entirely bilingual and, furthermore, which is not coterminous with some sort of national borders. Or, too be more direct, with only 300 words and phrases, I feel slightly ripped off by the fact that some of those words and phrases are taken up by things like "passport", "pizza" and "mango."
Also: it's a good thing that there are two recordings for every word and expression because it sounds like beginnings and ends of some audio files were clipped, distorting the pronunciation of the word.
I really dig the set up--it makes the maximum use of such a small amount of information, but for the cookie cutter approach as well as recording problem I mentioned above, 9.99$ feels a little bit like a rip-off.
I live near the Navajo reservation and this is very useful. Even though it has no more than 300 words and phrases it's enough to get around. Navajo language guides are very hard to find and this fills the void. I appreciate having native voices (both male and female) pronouncing the words. I'd give it 5 stars, but it is pricy so I dropped it a notch. I suggest this app for anyone having a desire to learn some Navajo.
Fun app but pricey
This app is fun to play with but I expected more for the 10 dollar fee. On a good note my 6 year old son enjoys the app very much and other ppl I know who d/l the app use it as a bar story joke. Everyone I know who has used it has derived some type of utility out of it so why not, alatsoh high aye Binaa adaalts ozi bikeyah
