No "glitches" common sense can't handle
I finished the game before rating. I read a lot of reviews complaining about glitches and bugs and issues, etc. All of the "glitches" referred to are nothing but challenges. I was able to navigate the game just fine and when I wasn't sure what to do the hint feature either showed me or lead me to the photo album that lead me to the next appropriate scene. I played on iPad without issue. If you feel stuck, look around the screen and use your common sense and trust me if you have any you will figure it out. Common sense cannot be taught, though, so there still may be a few unhappy users.
The theme music was enjoyable and quite catchy; so much so that I found myself humming it many times while away from the game. I liked the art work and that the "cut scenes" were still frames like a graphic novel. The hidden object scenes were repetitive, there were just a few of the same areas to search for objects, so that did become a bore. I thought this was a sequel to a Vampire Saga in which the grandfather told grandson his story of vampire encounter and that it had found him after so many years. This storyline had nothing to do with that, so I may likely be mistaken. I was slightly disappointed at the way the story wrapped up, with a couple of incidents seeming to not come to fruition. Overall, though, I did find it enjoyable and I do not regret the $4.99 purchase.
Second time through, much improved
I tried this game when it first came out and thought it was awful. But, I tried it again, a few years down the line, and found it to be fun. You will need the pictures in the "camera" to tell you where to go. They are your map, and allow you to teleport to the location, which, at the time, was something other games couldn't do! Spoiler: the gear shows you where an action is required. The sparkles for HO scenes are barely visible, but there. The blurry scenes need you to move the square until the picture is clear. Tap the square when it's green, and you get a gem.
You'll go back and forth so many times you'll go crazy. And sometimes you won't be allowed to use something, even though you should. It wants you to compete something else first, so go back to the picture map.
Overall, it has a few glitches, but it's entertaining if you enjoy HO adventures. It's dates, for use, but not bad.
I will admit I got lost a couple of times, but once I realized to follow the photos it was pretty easy. I really liked this game. I used the walkthrough until I got the hang of it. It kept me busy for a week because the chapters were long enough, I played one a night. As far as graphics, I have seen prettier, but didn't really care because the game kept my interest. If you want a really pretty game, I like stroke of midnight. So, I liked it a lot. Will wait a couple month and play it again. Didn't mind spending the money. One thing I didn't like is the bonus content. If you say I'm paying for extra, I don't want wall paper. I want more chapters.
