Description

Videowall is the first and only video wallpaper application for the Mac. Over 24 stunning full HD video wallpapers are included. Moreover, you can choose and use your own videos, your webcam or a screensaver as wallpaper.

The relaxing wallpapers will allow you to work significantly more relaxed on your Mac. Some of the other videos are thrilling and a nice visual effect for your desktop.

If this still is not enough, you can even select a screensaver as wallpaper. For instance your iTunes album covers will be animated as wallpaper.

We are continuously improving the application and keep adding new functions. If you have any feature requests or criticism, let us know!

Customer Reviews

Works well, very stable

This does what it claims to-- and does it well. Very slick and stable!

It doesn't have support for all screensavers, though-- just a handful. Would like to see that list grow substantially. For me, it would be a home-run if it supported the "Pictures" screensaver, so I could have photos or wallpapers gently zooming, panning, and changing on my desktop.

The only negative is that it does affect system performance. Performance isn't affected much-- most users would hardly notice it. But it is affected some. You can tell if you are running other CPU-intensive apps. The other major downside is power: this app drains batteries a *LOT* faster than just running the screen savers. If you are on a desktop system (and don't care about the environment), go ahead and enjoy this very very cool app! But if you are on a laptop, or you do care about power usage overall, you might want to consider this. It ain't free!

Keep up the good work, though- I really like this!

Review

Works pretty well.
I had the same lock-up as another user but I resolved it with terminal and hte command:
pkill Videowall

After the first time, it started without the lock-up. My use for this is different than most. I wanted to be able to monitor a webcam. Works well for this, but as noted by other reviews it does use a good amount of CPU. On my Macbook Pro with Retina Display that had 16 gigs RAM and the Fastest Macbook Pro processor, it take 35% of one processor. If it weren't constantly consuming that much, it wouldn't be a big deal. It is enough to kick my fan on and I rarely have my fan come on. At least I rarely have it fast enough that I can hear it.

Works well for me outside of these two issues.

Can

I purchased this App because one I needed something happening on my background because I am alway changing the background. This is the next step in backgrounds. And second because my uncle sad this could not be done.

I needed something that was not just a still picture flipping back a forth. I have been looking for this for some time now, 100% great app.

Two neg. on this App. Owned it for sometime and no add ons. and second I have two screens iMac 27" with cinema display 27" and you can only have it on one or the other. I do not mirror I need the extra desktop space. I do not need it to be one image across the two, but would be nice to have two different images at the same time.
