Vim is a text editor first released publicly in 1991. Based on the vi editor common to Unix-like systems, Vim is designed for use both from a command line interface and as a standalone application in a graphical user interface. Vim is free and open source software and is released under a license which includes some charityware clauses, encouraging users who enjoy the software to consider donating to children in Uganda.

iPad: Fixed issue when launched in landscape mode
Great App, Please Update
If this app were updated to work with the Retina display and iPad Pro, I would be able to use it more often. It is a great application of existing technology, and a good introduction for students to learn to use Vim.
Difficult to Use
This app is a functional Vim editor when you happen to have a Bluetooth keyboard, but the user experience is cumbersome at best when attempting to switch modes or use CTRL-key combinations. Just a few improvements to the app design (for example, extending the onscreen keyboard) would go a long way in improving the experience of using this app.

Says clearly (if you read) when you open the app that the escape key is mapped to the backslash.
