A note from the developer:
Hi, and thanks for taking a look at Virtual Families 2! We have been working on it for quite a while, and we’re very happy to be able to finally share this new chapter with everyone.
Before you skip down to the bullet points and screenshots, let me say a few quick words about this game, and life simulations in general: I love life simulation games. I have always been passionate about designing them, and almost everything that comes out of Last Day of Work is a life sim of some kind. This one, in particular, thrills me so much because it is designed to have a life of its own: unpredictable and so different each time I play it, and each time another player plays it. I love that the story unfolds differently for everyone who plays it, and your experience with the game might be wildly different from your friends’ experience.
Designing this type of game, however, has its own special challenges. The main challenge is that EVERYTHING in life is a great idea to add to a game like this. There are SO many great ideas, and we simply cannot put them all in at launch. So, while I hope the game captivates you as much as it does us, there will inevitably be things that you feel are missing and you would love to see added (tell us!).
We plan to update the content in this game. We want to add pets, hidden puzzles, more storyline, more events, tons of new things to buy, and the list goes on and on. We will also continue to tune and deepen all the game's inner workings that control happiness, health, and everything else. While the game has been balanced to be playable for free and without purchasing anything, we hope that you will find something compelling enough in the game to give us support so that we can continue to create fun new updates.
Enjoy Virtual Families 2! Please visit our Facebook page and our forums to give your own amazing ideas and suggestions, and don’t forget to check in on your little family or they will get very sad. :)
With sincere gratitude,
Lead Designer, Last Day of Work
Virtual Families 2 has all this and more:
* Adopt a little person and start a family. Make babies and pass the house on to the kids!
* Train your little people to behave as you wish by praising and scolding them.
* Your little people will send you messages, thanking, pleading, and praising you for caring for them.
* Runs in True Real Time. Your little people continue to live, eat, grow, and work when the app is switched off.
* Your little family is in your time zone! Is it getting dark where you live? Your little family is probably getting ready for bed then...
* Highly varied, unpredictable game play. No two games run the same.
* Make babies. Cure illnesses. Help nurture and guide generations of your family.
* Restore the house. Finish and fix rooms. Shop and decorate.

What's New in Version 1.4.0
Your little family will be able to enjoy lots of new holiday furniture, outfits and decor, along with an array of sumptuous new food to enjoy in this special update!
Along with fabulous new holiday items, we've added some new events and new holiday actions for the little people, and we've even squashed a few bugs along the way!
I absolutely love this game! I love how each person has his or her own personality. They like and dislike things, including whether or not they want children. I love the variety of careers and promotions they can have. I personally love the awkward/interesting names they have. I would add the option to change the name at birth, if you didn't want to take the one given. But please PLEASE don't make us choose our own name for every child because I would end up using the same names over and over lol I would have to agree with previous raters in that the rooms take forever for purchase because they are so expensive. This is what is realistic in our time and so I would say keep that the same, even though I've had over three dozen generations and still haven't finished. Do, however, try to add the option for players to customize the rooms and houses layout and appearance. New wallpapers and moving doors and windows around would be awesome! I would also say that if siblings or neighbors show up for visits (or if our characters could go into town for shopping, to the local park, or the children going to school, or even to the casino to play some slots) that would be a fun new twist. Oh and another rater suggested having our families create and tending to a home garden, fantastic idea!
I love this game but one big problem...
I really love the Last Day of Work games. This one included. I do wish there was more stuff to do because it can get slightly repetitive. Other than that, the game is very good. The only real problem I have is that, even though I bought the app, I still have to deal with ads. And I don't mean one little ad when I first turn on the game and then it goes away. I mean a huge banner at the top of the screen, advertising stupid stuff like Candy Crush and Pet Rescue Saga the entire time I am playing. This isn't Facebook, for the love of god. And this banner doesn't go away. I have to sit there and stare at this huge banner while it advertises cell phone services and Walgreens and other stuff I really don't care about. Can I just play my game in peace? I paid good money for this game and it irritates me how I have this obnoxious banner across the top of my screen. It irritates me how I gave them money and they are still throwing ads at me. It's even worse that I am playing on an iPhone, not an iPad, so I have a pretty limited screen area and a large percentage of that limited screen area is being taken up by this crappy banner. If you have read this review and made it all the way to the end, I applaud you. It went a bit long. My apologies.
I LOVE how you can just keep going forever; some games just end. I like how the parents and children have feelings and sicknesses, and they either want kids or don't. This makes it more challenging. I like how they have actually have careers, and much variety too. It is awesome that they have promotions and more money, it is like real life. It is also really cool that you can marry. There is SO much more, but i can't say it all. Upgrades: Baby Cribs. I don't like how the mom always has to carry the baby around. We should be able to tell the parent to put the baby in their crib, and then take he/she out, also. Dressing: we should have tops and bottoms for the adults. Naming: we should be able to name the kids. Not the husbands, though. House: the flooring and wallpaper, we should be able to pick. Not the actually house, though. Furniture: we should be able to sell them! They just sit in the inventory forever. Also, we should have more variety of designs, not just colors. Garden: we should have gardens! It would be awesome to plant our own food and then eat it. That should also boost the health. Animals: we should more things for these. Also, we should be able to pick them up.
