Great app but I'm still learning how to use

I had no problems with the thermostat until about 2 months ago and my arrows were grayed out. Ugh! Like being in bed and adjusting. I finally figured out why it was happening. If you are using a range (both Ac and heat is set) there has to be a minimum of 4 degrees in between them or neither one will kick one. Also, some of the other thermostat issues are panel related and not app related (if I have my heat range to kick on at 67 why is 65 in house?) oh, and watch out for the 1/2 degrees. It will display on your thermostat with say 66.5 degrees, but your panel and phone will say 66... But if you kick it to 67, it won't kick on. See where I'm going? Anyways, When we first got the system, we relied only on our phones to arm/disarm. This became a problem on the weekends only when it would take an hour to arm. Then we'd have to set it off to enter. I got the key fobs and never looked back. I still like it a lot and use it through out the day.

This app is great!

I have read some bad reviews below and I can relate to them as I had similar issues due to user error. I was not trained on how to navigate and operate the app at the time of install so I had disdain for it and simply didn't use it. I called the 800 # when I was in bed with the flu and after about 15 minutes with the first person I talked to I was up and running. It does everything for me but a camera and auto locking doors which I did not pay for but will add when there is a service call. I am used to commercial monitoring companies like Sonitrol and they are every bit as good as the commercial guys but for residential application. The price is the highest in the biz (mine is a write off) but they deliver. ADT/Brinks and the other two or three national residential companies had better take notice. Viviant and it's app has changed the way I lock up my house.
