Worked For Me… I Think
Downloaded the app over the weekend in order to deposit three checks. It took me a bit to figure out picture taking angle, as instructions are a little vague for actually uploading them to the screen (I’m not exactly an expert with my iPhone 6’s OS). But once I had it down (about 10 minutes, or so), I was able to upload all three checks to my savings account cross-country in a matter of moments. By the time I logged in to my credit union account on my laptop a half hour later, all three checks had been credited to my account.
There are a few nits to pick: There is really no guidance provided if you don’t intuit the correct sequence of steps, and the messages you may receive (“no front signature found”) seem to fly in the face of what actually appears on the picture of the check. And, the message box appears after your deposit has been confirmed, which makes no sense at all. The folks in customer service at the credit union were not able to explain the seeming contradiction. They just confirmed the deposits, and suggested hold onto the checks… just in case.
Unusuable, Don’t Bother
With out a doubt the worst experience I’ve ever had with any smartphone app.
It was frustrating to configure. Watch the installation video on the VSECU website and save yourself 10 minutes of frustration.
In addition, the integration with the rest of the VSECU system is inadequate.
1) When someone creates a Mobile Access to my account, I’d like to get a notification via email.
2) When someone attempts to log in via Mobile Access, I’d like to get a notification via email.
3) When someone FAILS to login via Mobile Access, I really want to get a notification via email.
4) I’d like to be able to manage my Mobile Access accounts via the website. Just in case, you know, I want to disable or delete it.
Doesn't deserve a single star.
This app has never worked for me. Not once. My case was handed over to IT a month ago. I followed up on its status twice, to no avail. I never heard back from anyone. The app is junk; my customer service experience was too.
