Not for stationary equipment
I should have done more research on this before purchasing it. I was under the assumption it would calculate caloric burn based on heart rate. Unfortunately it doesn't. I'm unable to calibrate it because I don't own a treadmill nor have a membership to a gym. I own an elliptical which this does not track distance or caloric burn accurately on. The app is a bit difficult to navigate as well. I feel I have to search for the pertinent information I want to track.
On the bright side the Bluetooth connectivity works great.
Great app. Works as advertised. I use for every workout whether on my bike or at gym. HR monitor syncs with other apps that I track my bike rides with. My suggestion is more of a must have demand. Incorporate a time line on the graph that shows calories burned. This way you can see the time frame verses calories burned. My bike app does this with the mileage. It's very helpful to see the calories burned on a timeline. Thanks for considering. Would definitely give 5 stars with this addition.
Worked for two weeks. Stopped registering the BPM. Complained to company; they sent a list of things to try. Exhausted the list then they sent me a new one. Didn't work at first, then I downloaded yet another update and it's working. I've done this numerous times before -update- and it only works for about a week. They need to figure out how to make this product right before they ever put it on the market. I just feel bad because my wife bought it for me for Christmas and I just wish we had our money back so I could find a company that knows what they're doing with these things.
