Easiest pairing ever but buggy

Fist off, pairing the scale with this app is drop dead simple. Never have I paired something so quick and so reliably. This app functions perfectly with the scale. When you step on the scale the reading can be seen in the app. It is easy to add other users and easy to track your progress. Other users can also have the app on their device and sync to health even if created on another device.
The two big issues are as follows. Once in a while users are removed for seemingly no reason. Their weigh-ins are there, but you have to reset their details. The second is that deleting an individual weigh in is impossible. The app crashes every time. Also, the weight that syncs is the last one to appear in the app, so if you try to delete an old weigh in and it comes back (which it always does) that will be your new weight in Health and any connected apps (like MFP) until your next weigh in.
All around the app is serviceable, but it definitely needs an update.

it feels like Wahoo's abandoned this app and scale

not oakie

first off, the app consistently crashes when trying to delete an entry and makes it impossible to remove false entries.

second, the app still hasn't been updated to display in native resolution on the iPhone 6/6 Plus and newer. the latest version of the app was pushed on 15 Sept 2015, a full year since the iPhone 6 was released and 16 months as of the date of my review.

before the 1.2.2 update, I swear the scale would connect as soon as you opened the app and would display your weight within seconds after stepping on the scale. it used to be predictable for me: get near the scale, open app, see Bluetooth symbol appear on scale, stand on it and watch my current weight reading appear on both the app and the scale's display.

now, that's gone. since the 1.2.2 update, my scale will no longer connect when I open the app and thus no longer provides a live reading. instead, the scale only connects to transfer PREVIOUS readings to my phone when the app is open and within range.

for weeks now, I've been getting frustrated thinking the scale developed a hardware failure as it would refuse to connect immediately when I opened the app. I finally realized the app was changed to only connect if the scale has new readings that haven't been transferred to the app.

Continued disappointment with Wahoo's software & hardware

Update, after receiving a reply from the Wahoo Fitness customer support staff (which are a bright spot for the company), the Apple Health data transfer is an option in version 1.2.2. The option to turn it on is down in the settings for each user you set up on the scale. Buried and not documented, but the option is there.

I own many Wahoo ANT & Bluetooth devices and the fit and finish of their products has disappointed me constantly. The Wahoo scale is an example of a good hardware product by Wahoo, however the very poor software that is required to get the full value of the hardware has been a disappointment to me. The current release of the scale software 1.2.2 does not offer the ability to transfer the scale's weight and BMI data to the Apple Health app.
