It’s all about one thing... Advance your skiing with automatic video!
Wakeye is a powerful water ski app designed to automatically capture every moment on the water.
Simply set your speed and your iPhone or iPad Mini ( only with GPS) will start video recording when your boat reaches the set speed.
When you slow down or stop, it will stop recording.
Designed to be used with the Wakeye iPhone and iPad mounts, to create the complete video package for water skiing and wakeboarding (www.wakeye.com).
Wakeye’s goal is to ensure you capture only the skiing or wakeboarding you need or want. Using GPS speed it will know when to start recording and when to stop. You won’t have to worry about someone else pushing the record button anymore.
Easy zoom controls let you bring the skier right into the frame.
With a simple to use playback mode, you can delete, run or save into your library for you to edit or share later on.

When it works
I love the app, sometimes. I have 2 Apple IPhones I use. My 6S has stopped recording automatically. I cannot get it to change from manual to automatic. My 6 only records in slo-mo. If I want to watch anything in full speed, I have to put it in a video editor app I downloaded specifically to deal with this issue, then figure out how to speed it up to look remotely normal. I also have the Wakeye on my pylon which was $350 but is basically worthless when I can’t record anything.
Used to work well before the latest update
On my iPhone 7 it will record all video in slo mo. So I have to then go back and edit a video before I can watch it. Even though it’s set to auto record it will stop recording in the middle of a run 70% of the time. Very annoying and disappointing.
I’ve this thing for a year. All the screws loosen up for no reason all the time. The app just plain won’t work with iPhone X. Trying this update to see if anything is different. The whole thing is about to go into the junk pile.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
