My dog walking app!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I ❤️ this app! I feel like it was tailor made for me! I love to walk my dog each day and know how many miles I've gone when I've reached a new mile, distance, time, calories burned and also I have a map of the route I just made so I can repeat it anytime! The GPS is 1 of my favorite features. I am a wanderer; I like to create new routes to keep things interesting. I also love to hike with my dog and the GPS feature is a lifesaver when I try a new trail. I am new to the area where I live so I'm not always sure where a trail is going to come out but I'm always okay because the GPS function shows me a map and by using the map, I can tell how to get back home and how long it will take. They constantly improve this app. I've had it for 2 years now and I'm always amazed by the improvements that are made to an app that I already think is perfect! Lots of social media opportunities have been added recently. You can find your friends and motivate each other to walk more and to go at a faster pace or show off a new trail you created! It's fun, informative, and a must for safety, I think! Download Now! 😊😍💥👍👏👌💙❤️💛💜💚👣🐾🐶✔️♠️💯🔃✅🆘🆓🆒🔟🚲🎰🎈🎊🎶🎵🎧🚴🎯🏆🏁🍀‼️
App is great, but could track calories better
Getting this app has been a great motivator for me to get moving again! I looove logging/recording workouts and foods eaten, so i can stay under my calorie budget. And the recording workout feature is great, it accurately maps where I've gone. However, I used to use the LoseIt app to track calories and workouts, and I think its calorie counting features are better. I think this app would be much much better if it allowed you to select fractional serving sizes... I often do not eat a full serving of something, but I still want to track it. Also, another great feature to add would be letting you add/create your own food, and you input the amount of calories per serving. I often drink smoothies or food with a combination of things mixed in and rather than adding each individual item, it would be great if I could create a food, input the calories per serving of this food, and save it for future use since I would use it often. Other than those two things which I really would love to have added, this app is great!
Good app, still needs a bit of polishing
The core of what this app does it does well. It tracks a walk accurately, gives you the times a splits, maps it we'll, etc. However, if you have it playing a playlist, and the playlist ends before your walk is done, it won't restart the playlist automatically, it won't start it again if you press the play button, you can change it to something else, it's just done playing music. You have to start the music player or podcast app (Map My Walk doesn't play podcasts at all) and play something manually. Also, it responds to input very slowly, and there isn't any indication of what us going on if it's doing something in the background (for example, when saving a workout); it just appears as if the app had hung for an extended period of time until it finally responds again.
