The Walking Dead is a five-part episodic game series set in the same universe as Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic books featuring Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes.

This is not another shoot ‘em up; it’s a game that explores some very dark psychological places, revealing that the undead are not the only thing to be afraid of when society crumbles.

In this brand new story, you are Lee Everett, a man given a second chance at life in a world devastated by the undead. With corpses returning to life and survivors stopping at nothing to maintain their own safety, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world gone to hell.

Experience a dark, visceral and emotional series where every action and decision you make can result in the story changing around you. This tailored experience means that your story could be very different to that of someone else.

Total guilty pleasure

You are PART of the story... every choice you make, every word you say... you create your own character and story. My friend and I were played same game, ended up with two very different set of characters and decisions! Very cool. It makes it so that even when you aren't playing... you find yourself thinking about your strategy and even regretting past mistakes! The only game I've played with that kind of heart-wrenching narrative was The Novelist (and that was only narrat stove; this is action too). What else... oh... YES, there are startling, nerve-wracking, endearing, funny and... like I said... heart-wrenching decisions to make in the spur of the moment. You will be very surprised at the decisions you make in an instant. (Cool note: wait for the credits at the end of each episode; you'll see where you stand against other people and how many players made the same choices as you). And be warned (this really is only for people who have no idea what The Walking Dead is...) there are some TRULY disgusting moments; with the sounds and graphics... yes, there were stomach churning times for sure. LOL. Anyway, I look forward to any future versions of this game!

OK, but amateurish

Here is my opinion of TWD: The Game:
The game is good, but like everything, it has pros and cons, so I will list all my pros and cons of this game, starting with the pros:
First, the game has some good graphics, an amazing plot and list of characters, so I'll give it that. Secondly, the idea of an inevitable zombie apocalypse put in a game is pretty cool, and since there is almost no possibility of it actually happening makes it an even more interesting experience for anyone willing to take up the challenge of playing this game. Thirdly, this game has SUCH a great story, that even people who show almost no emotion will express their emotion while playing the game. (I cried after beating LoZ: Skyward Sword, because I never wanted the game to end.) Now moving on to the cons:
First, I know the game takes place in the zombie apocalypse, but did Telltale REALLY have to put so many f-bombs in most of the characters script? I mean seriously, this game has so much f-bombing, this should have its own rating: A for adults ONLY. Second, even though I've never actually played a real M-rated game, besides Skyrim and Fable III, I would really rewrite the scripts. (To any and all writers/editors of The Walking Dead: The Game scripts: LESS F-BOMBS, MORE DRAMATIC CONVERSATIONS. LESS KILLING OF NON-REANIMATED, MORE COMEDY FOR THE PLAYERS.)

I'm probably playing the game through for the tenth time at this point (yeah, I'm definitely getting my money's worth out of this one), and it's still a great game. However, I found a glitch in the first episode... For some reason, the scene in which Glen asks for help over the radio was skipped over. It made no difference to me, of course, since I know the plot like the back of my hand. But it would confuse the mess out of anyone who was playing the game for the first time for Lee to just randomly walk up to Carley and ask, "You ready to go?" With the third season right around the corner, I highly recommend whoever the heck reads these reviews to fix this bug so any new players aren't hopelessly confused. This game is worth every last cent (except for the bonus episode, which hardly influenced the plot of the second season at all), and I can't wait to see what the third season has to offer!

And to whoever complains about all of the f-bombs: grow up and enjoy the game for what it is.
