Not Quite Excellent
This app does everything it claims to do and it does those things quite well. A few added features would make this a Five Star app.
Adding a GPS feature would be a giant step towards the additional stars. It would be a big help for the app to measure ones distance and time. This feature is available in competitors' apps, so it should be possible to add it here.
An other possible improvement would be adding the ability to sync between the iPad and iPhone versions. If that feature is currently available it has eluded me.
The most outstanding feature of this app is the interface. It is both attractive and helpful. I like being able to set goals and to see my progress towards them. The summary, which shows the distance walked, time, and pace is very useful.
There are many very good features here. But, to take advantage of them I must manually enter the data. Automation and synchronization would make this a Five Star app!
This is a great app but......
This app hasn't been updated in over two years. So don't look for perfection. My guess is that the developers are long gone.
I'll give you 5 stars when I can set my goal for walking pace in increments of something less than whole minutes.
Although it doesn't influence my rating, 10 workout categories is somewhat of an overkill for a walking app. Particularly since you already have an app for runners.
Profoundly Weak Offering
1) If you want to revise an entry, such as change Regular to Long walk, no editing. You have to delete & re-enter all info for that session.
2) Portrait view only.
3) Odd "history" view. Despite entering more than a dozen entries or the month (today's the 23rd), the History view remains completely empty.
4) The graph leaves much to be desired.
The good news: a great idea, with no crashes (iPad 2).
