What's New in Version 1.8.8
Good app, but forcing you to upgrade now
The app is brilliant and makes it easy to track basic house expenses which is why I started using this in the first place. But lately I’ve been getting mails and notifications to upgrade the app to a premium version which I don’t want. I don’t want fancy features .. just the basic tracking of my monthly expenses ..
The customer support is quite poor .. I’ve contacted them to check if I can retain the free version of the app.. and have not heard back from them for more than a month. It’s like they just don’t care about their customers..
If they force upgrade the app for the user or turn the free version off for those who do not upgrade, it would be a disaster and shows the company is more greed driven than customer driven..
It’s was great... until.
I WOULD LEAVE ZERO IF I COULD, FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This WAS single handedly the most amazing app to use for tracking spending. Such and easy and simple UI. It didn’t force you to link to accounts. It was like a fancy, custom spreadsheet.
That is, until the dreaded Wally next came along. It turns out you can have too much of a good thing.
Wally went years without a single update. (That’s okay, it worked well enough). Suddenly now that Wally next is out there we have update after update. All of them labeled as “bug fixes” however all the are actually doing is adding bugs. The recurring payments button on the top ribbon is now broken (they broke that on update 1) 2 updates or so later, still broken. But guess what?? We have some “great” advertising for Wally Next added in.
I have emailed at least 9 or 10 times and zero response.
It’s so disappointing a company as to cannibalize their own app to make a go at their second generation app.
Bug or feature?
Several updates later, I still can't review my income from more than 3 months earlier, should I consider that a feature?
