Brilliant but Cold to Players
You know the ONE THING that can never get boring? Squashing and shooting orcs in a giant mech. You know what this game made boring? Yeah, mech battles. Weird. It starts off with railroading, and then you have to EARN the right to buy stuff. You actually have to progress in the story to get the ability to buy better mystery boxes with real life money. But that's ok, because you don't need to buy anything anyway. Except repairs. Lots of repairs. Your mech isn't automatically restored after fights, it's reduced in potential. Then you have to wait for it to get better or pay real life money to make it better *now*. This means that after a one or two minute mission, you have to wait an hour before you can do another one or two minute mission. That said, the one or two minute missions are fairly awesome. But the constant waiting does make me have a hard time falling I love with this game, and if I don't love it, why would I buy In App Purchases? Self-defeating pay-to-play mechanic. Get rid of that, and more people would be more likely to play and to pay. The app is gorgeous, but inaccessible.
For in the grim dark future there is only war!
I have been waiting for a game like this to come along for a long time. Great to pass the time and actually playable for more than a half hour. Only crashes I have had were in the daily events. Love the game play though the camera angles could use a bit of work. Customization of your knight is fun, but runs its course fairly quick. An update with more layouts, emblems, and more than primary and secondary paint schemes would be great. Easily to play for free, but if your impatient, you will feel compelled to pay.
Bottom line. It's by far the funnest app/game I have played to date. It has major room to grow and be even greater... Just don't screw it up with ads and forced pay to play.
Best 40k game yet! Worth a few bucks, but $ NOT needed to enjoy!
Go around around shredding infantry, popping tanks and other armored baddies, and wasting ammo destroying debris and cover. This game can go for a while before you feel pushed to make a purchase. If you like the hobby aspect of the game, play with customization options and forge new items. If you do want to buy something, buy a starter pack early on, and later you can buy gold for supply drops. Don't buy ore---grind for it. You'll earn more and more as you play, and if you're good, you'll earn fun toys and prizes along the way. Just relax and blast away!
