Ratings and Reviews
When they first rolled out the update they had only four or five security questions and you had to come up with an answer to each one, even ones that make no sense to you. Then when making a deposit after clearing out cookies on your phone, you would be required to answer a question and if you couldn’t answer in three tries you were out. They have since gone back to the old longer list to choose from. Still had to answer one to complete a deposit. I’ll bet they have a lot of people trying to sneak money into other accounts so they had to step up the security.
It's decent when it works, needs to evolve.
There are many better mobile apps from other banks that do mobile banking better. This app has seen some big improvements but hasn't caught up to what BofA had before the transition a couple of years ago. Needs a balance after every transaction like it used to have. Not sure why they took that off. Only reason I can think of, is to make it easier for people to overdraft. Bring that back, and show pending transactions along with current balance and balance after transactions go through, and you'll be good.
New and improved
As with many reviewers, I can agree that the old app was not the best or most user friendly. The new app (that just launched this morning) already seems much more impressive. A lot more options through mobile (great, because we’re all on the go!) and just a much more appealing aesthetic. So far I haven’t had any bugs or glitches occur, and am really enjoying the update.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
