Found the Answer
So if you're a digital only subscriber the "Sign In" button at the top left corner of the app won't work because it is only for print/digital subscribers. It is unnecessary to Sign In if you only get the digital subscription. The magazine will automatically download every month.
Great app for great mag
Love that they don't charge extra for electronic access. They always give me ideas on new things to check out in DC.
Not tablet optimized
This app precisely recreates the magazine on a tablet, which is the wrong approach. Individual pages are very difficult to read on an iPad mini and font size cannot be adjusted.
The publisher should take a look at The Economist (admittedly text heavy) but also Vanity Fair, which dynamically flow text, making it a pleasure to read.
