Customer Reviews

Baby boomers hate ABC & app too

I just read A review that said when the baby boomers stop watching television, ABC will lose its audience or something. I am a Boomer and a professional tacky and I can tell you that ABC has already lost plenty of that audience. Think about it: we live alone and have many more years to support ourselves so how logical is it to pay for cable? And on top of that, the cable company in Los Angeles isn't good enough for the ABC app. I own a MoHu Leaf antenna since 2008 which gives me beautiful television on a large screen TV. But when it comes to watching online, I'm not good enough for ABC. I spend most of my time traveling around the world, I purchased food and clothing for myself, but my eyeballs don't seem to be any value for this network. So I watch TV that's one week old and I curse ABC and that's my feeling for them.
When I studied broadcasting, yes I'm a broadcast professional, I learned it was eyeballs that account. Clearly that's not the case anymore. I don't get it.

Guess what ABC: even when I have a television in front of me I don't bother to watch your shows. Yep, you lost me. Seriously.

This is worst app in the world.

I used to like this app because of the Apple TV app that accompanied it but now they've made the TV app totally confusing, it doesn't have the latest shows it has whatever is popular that people have been viewing from the app's. It has shows from several years ago that some senile cat lady or redneck trucker has been watching 24/7 literally the fact that the TV version of the app doesn't have the latest shows displayed it's an utter abomination. Deleting it off all my devices. It's now just a pretty showcase for the dreary shows of ABC with no substance.

Whoever at ABC thought this would be a great app design should be taken round the back of Universal studio's and put down like shep the tired old worn out working dog because this app reflects the thinking. It reflects the thought process of an imbecile.

I won't miss the app, I won't miss the shows, in fact all you've done is increased my determination to cut the cord and now I don't watch ABC at all.

Other content providers do a great job, look at NBC, look at FOX, look at CBS all your rivals but all at least make it possible to see what the latest shows are not a showcase of utter crap that you have to guess what was on. NOBODY SUBSCRIBES TO TVGUIDE anymore nobody wants to play guessing games. You'll be the first station out in the cold looking in while others are still relevant and online which easily accessible online content.

This new version is horrible. The old one was so user friendly. This is awful. Takes twice as long to load and no me page, you need to go through numerous screens to see viewer history. I can't always watch a show in one sitting and used that page a lot. What used to take one minute to watch a show now takes 5. Too much wasted time. Cant see other episodes unless you click out of what you're watching. Big thumbs down!!! AGAIN-- another update and another fail! At least 8 times during each show the app shuts down. Stop revamping stuff that doesn't need it. And why if I use my phone do I get twice as many commercials??? Kickbacks from phone companies for using more data?? Shame on these app makers....
