* Performance improvements
I like the fact that the app has its shows and movies. My main complaint is that from what I can see there is no way to stop (not pause) an episode. Which means that I have to sit through "inside this episode" or close and then reopen the app. Not a problem if you are watching at work and have to shut it down immediately. However, not having a stop option is a real pain if you are trying to binge watch (and don't want to watch the commentary), or conversely if you just want to skip over the next episode. And if you are watching, say for instance, Good Behavior and you do let it just play through the commentary, you do not know if it going to play the regular or explicit video, so it would be nice to be able to stop the video.
I also hate the way all the shows are stacked together with the shows underneath instead of each show having its own page. Kinda hard to navigate on a cell phone, and extremely annoying if you keep having to go in and out of the app (bc you cannot stop the video).
It would also be nice to have a "resume" or "continue watching" option.
Not easily navigated
Below was my original review after they updated the app the first time. Since then, the problems I was having having all been fixed! I'm back to loving the app again. The freezes aren't as bad as many make them out to be, nothing like when they made the first major change to the app, although still annoying. Needless to say, this is still my go-to app. I think "TNT app" more often than I do any other network app. For me, it was the first one used consistently and is the one I judge others on ("are they better than or worse than the TNT app?")! Some do get better grades.
I downloaded the new app last night and started trying to use it this morning, but navigating in the new app is impossible! In the old app, I could move from viewing east to viewing west very easily. I could also stop a live viewing without having to go completely out of the app, and on and on I could go about that. The change is ok, except for that, as far as o can see.
This app is a joke
Watched a TNT show on the plane and really liked it so I went online to try to watch more episodes by signing in through my cable package. Streaming from the TNT website was awful- constant pauses, errors and timeouts. When you went back into the episode you had to start from the beginning and any attempt to skip forward was met w more timeouts and skips. So I downloaded this app and thought it might be better. Its not. Same issues and it's difficult to navigate to the episode I want. It's 2017 and people watch tv shows on their phones, iPads and via streaming through Apple TV. It's time to build an app that supports that tnt. The worst irony is that the commercials stream perfectly wo timeouts or errors but st about 5x the volume of the tv show and you can't turn down the volume of the ads. Isn't this practice (increased volume of commercials) illegal? This app looks like a college interns first attempt at making an app. Amateur hour.
