Lots of issues
I downloaded the app on my tv and tried to sign into my psvue account by clicking that as my provider and it doesn’t even give me the option to login and just says I’m logged in. So I was just like “ok that’s fine I guess it’ll work” and no it does not work. I get a notification that says my provider does not give me access to travel channel. I download the app on my phone and I am able to log in and everything works fine. That is one thing that needs to get fixed. I try then to click the watch live button on the app and that doesn’t even work. I can click every other option like shows, home, favorites, etc. I used to at least be able to press “watch live” and it would at least open the page and just load and load and load and never work. The one last thing that needs to be fixed is screen mirroring. Whenever I want to watch a specific show and screen mirror it works for one episode. Then I have to completely restart the app and reconnect to my tv in order to get the screen mirroring to work again. And whenever I watch the travel channel the words people say do not line up with what they are saying. Same with the commercials. I’ll be seeing one commercial and hearing the next commercial. There is a major delay on this network. I at first think it’s my internet connection but then I change the channel and it works perfectly fine.
I’m having problems signing in that I can’t find an answer to in their FAQ or database. I tried to contact them for help, got a very curt auto response that said they can’t respond to every email (!). Fine, let’s see if they respond to a one star review.
I was able to sign in and access the Travel Channel shows just fine last week. Today, it told me to sign in, which I did, and then it opened up Discovery Channel, which quite frankly is full of subpar shows. I tried to get back to Travel Channel, and it told me to sign in, which I did, and got sent right back to Discovery Channel. I’m going in circles. It’s not my cable provider, because it was working a week ago. When I got into App Store to write this review, I noticed that the app updated 3 days ago, and it was working 4 days ago, so all I can figure is that there was a bug in the update. If they fix it, I will change my review. I really really hope they fix it, because I love Travel Channel shows, and can only watch on my phone because my housemates usually have control of the tv
I like it, but don’t at the same time
I personally really like Travel Channel, and having it on my phone is great. But, there are something I want changed. First of all, captions. You don’t get a choice for captions. I have gone to the captions button, turned them off, but they still stay there. And they aren’t on time! They are always a sentence ahead of what is being said in the show. Also, ads. Not the ads being there, but “Ad 1 of 6” for example. Some it will say “Ad 6 of 6” on the third ad. Also, they are always showing ads for the HGTV app, Food Network app, DIY app, and even the Travel Channel app. What do you think we’re watching the ads on, buddy?
