I really like this app. Over time it has really helped me to get into the habit of drinking enough fluids. At first I had no idea what the red alert was, but realized later that it is percentage of hydration at a glance. I think this app could be better if it let folks know that things like juice and milk count toward daily hydration. The focus on water only could confuse some users. I also really didn't like the commentary within the app about hydration and weight loss. I feel that it could alienate a much wider user base. I would encourage having a health professional re-write the entire page on why hydration is important. I work in healthcare myself and often recommend it to anyone who could benefit from daily reminders. But I cringe at how poorly written the importance of hydration page is. I would be really interested in an update to this app with better graphs as well. I wish that the bar graph could be altered to display a weeks worth of hydration. Overall this is a wonderful and helpful app that could become even better with some minor adjustments.
Easy to use! ❤️
This app really keeps me aware of my fluid intake. It's so easy to not get enough fluid in a day when you don't pay attention. I'm not sure why there is a 17oz one though. I just made a 10 (since our keurig machine at work has 10oz as it's largest setting) and a 6oz for its smallest. Then I get. 16 oz bottle of water and just hit 10 + 6 to cover it. I also wish we could make each button a different color so it'd be a bit quicker to choose what you've had. Thanks for making this app!!
Not for me
I got this for my Mom who has a problem staying hydrated. Unfortunately she has a bigger problem with her hearing so the app was useless for her. The alarm tone is really pleasant, but she never hears it. She doesn't carry her iPad with her or check it on any regular basis to make the app useful. Maybe in combination with an iWatch that vibrates this could work.
Overall I'd say this app is good training to get you into the habit of drinking regularly throughout the day. Once creating a good habit you no longer need the app.
