Things You Should Know
I absolutely love wattpad. The app is pretty simple once you get used to it. But there are a couple things you should know. If you wish to add a cast to your story, you can not do this on the app. It bugs me a bit that you must change this setting on a desktop. Same as adding a dedication to someone for your book. This as well must be done on desktop mode.
Also, it's super hard to obtain reads. The people at HQ seem to only care about the writers that have already made it big, and don't promote undiscovered writers and stories like they should. Don't expect your work to get popular (unless you're like everyone else and make your story a fan fiction about boy bands and bad boys, then you'll have a better chance than anyone). Annually, they give out awards called "Wattys". If you're new, you have a 10% chance at getting ANYTHING. All the awards go to writers who already have it big. Overall, Wattpad is an amazing reading platform, it's just slightly unfair.
Other than that, the app is pretty user-friendly.

Love it!!
I love the app, I love the stories you are able to read and the way you can interact with the writers and other fans with comments and messages. I love it and will never depart from it.
One peeve is that if you often have to switch between devices it does not always save your progress. It irks me to no end that I have to go back and find my spot again.
The last problem is the voting. I love voting but there is an issue with me skipping the voting bc I want to read the next chapter so bad. The voting commenting bar is so small and is often over looked. If it was moved to the space between chapters where often advertisements and similar stories are located it would be easier to access and remember.
Help!
I hadn't had to deal with excessive crashing in a while, but this most recent update has made it nearly impossible to read for any length of time. I'll be reading when the app will suddenly crash. Then, it'll crash immediately after I try to get back on. It's a bit ironic that an update for fixing crashes created more.
Another bug that I hadn't seen in a while has also reappeared. While searching for new books to read, the same ten or so books appear on repeat, and it's nearly impossible to search for others. With a bug like this, it makes it even more difficult to find new books on a subject when you can't narrow down your search by tags anymore.
Aside from this, Wattpad is absolutely amazing! Keep up the great work!
