My Cloud... Save everything. Access anywhere.
The My Cloud app makes accessing and sharing from anywhere easy. And with automatic photo and video backup to your personal cloud storage, it helps reliably store your irreplaceable moments so you can free up space on your tablet or smartphone. The My Cloud app also integrates with other cloud services, providing a centralized location for all your content.
Note: The My Cloud app requires a WD My Cloud product or My Passport Wireless product to work (sold separately).

What's New in Version 4.4.8
Improved sorting options menu to allow order by date or alphabetically
Resolved some connectivity issues for remote access and network errors
Resolved some app crash scenarios and improved stability
Well designed app
This app is pretty impressive. It is the best one I've used for personal cloud storage. It's easy to set up and manage and hasn't had any bugs so far after 1 month of use.
Only one gripe so far and that is that when viewing photos, if you select one to view full screen, when you go back to thumbnail view it will take you to the top of the list. That can be super annoying if your list is long. Not a huge deal though.
It would be great if 3rd party apps had MyCloud integration like they do for Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. That's not in WD's control though and they have provided an open source SDK so hopefully 3rd party developers use it! Great app though.
Great app with the need of a few improvements...
I love being able to access my cloud. But you can't interact with it properly. There are no functional sharing options only links. I can't interact with my drive like I can with Dropbox. I can't drop and drag from other services to and from my cloud drive. There should be more options with a "NAS" drive like this. I also have a Pogoplug that does more than this. Maybe there are plans to make this app better.
The updated app 2016 added the ability to sort your photos by date. But nothing else. So maybe I should have bought another type of NAS. I think Google Photos app is better at backup than this.
Overall Great App
I've only had it for a week and it serves its purpose. Just a few annoyances.
Good basic functionalities (i.e. Create new folders and add pics and vids directly to those folders)
Download capabilities for offline viewing
After viewing a picture or video, you lose your place in the folder. So you have to scroll down to find where you left off.
No progress bar when downloading videos or multiple pictures, etc. It doesn't let you know when one is completed downloading.
The buffer window should be longer. Buffering almost every 5 secs for a 500MB video stream. Much better to download it and then view it.
