A much better NAS solution than the Seagate GoFlex Home

So, I decided I would get a new NAS drive after using the Seagate GoFlex Home for the last 4.5 years. The app and software were really showing their age and hadn't been updated in forever. More importantly, it was buggy and the drive dropped off the network all the time. I decided to go with the WD MyCloud and I've been very VERY happy. A large part of that is this app and the device's overall software execution. It's a much cleaner, crisper, and more modern experience. It plays very nice with other iOS apps being able to save and access files remotely on the drive. I found a Seagate Thunderbolt adapter for the old drive and went from a buggy 3TB NAS to a whopping 8TB mix of network and local storage.

Great as a Remote Music server

I use the MyCloud app with my WD 16 Tb only to serve up music, which is stored as FLAC files. Connections via WiFi are great and provide easy access to all the files through all my mobile devices (iPhone and iPad). The user interface is simple and straightforward. Using VLC to play the FLAC files, the MyCloud app is doing everything I want right now, giving me far more music than I can drag around on a mobile device. I can't speak to other functionality needs (movies, pictures, etc) so refer to other reviews for those pros and cons.

Great but one suggestion!

When using the app to upload photos, can you make it so it looks at the most recent images first? If I want to upload a photo I just took, I don't want to always have to scroll down through 3,000 pictures in my camera roll just to find it. Many times, halfway through this 5-minute scroll, it thinks I swiped left and just takes me back to the menu and I have to do it all over again. Ridiculous. Please fix this. Sort options would be amazing!
