**Enhanced for iOS 8, includes Today Widgets**
"Weather Dial Perfects The Concept of the Minimal Weather App" - Bobby Solomon, The Fox is Black
Spend more time enjoying the weather...not watching it.
2 years older, 2 years wiser.
Weather Dial 2 is a complete redesign for iOS 7, with smarter data and richer features, including:
- Ability to add multiple locations
- 24 hour-by-hour forecast chart in landscape view
- 7-day forecast
- Current conditions
- Feels like temperature on long press
- Windage and humidity readout
- Sunrise & sunset time
- Fahrenheit & Celsius settings
- 24 or 12 hour settings
- Light & Dark modes for better visibility day or night
- Forecast.io weather data (the best we've found!)
- That same ol' 'carpe diem' swag
Still building on Dieter Rams' 10 principles of design, Weather Dial 2 is an even truer manifestation of our product philosophy; to get you as quickly as possible back into the moments that matter the most and not waste your time with unnecessarily complicated forecast readouts and weird gesture controls...that's just selfish.
Weather Dial lets you spend more time enjoying the weather...not watching it.
- iOS 8 Today widgets!!! One for current, and one with current + weekly forecast
- Did we mention, iOS 8 widgets?! (we're pretty excited)
- An extra dash of love & care

Best weather app you can download but...
No issues have been addressed since October. Don't spend on this until the developer updates.
Having been forced to use the stock weather app again due to a lack of fixes, I've actually become a much bigger fan of it and prefer it to this app.
Overall, I like this app. The developer seems to put a lot of thought into it. I'm a fan of the minimal approach. But...
At times I feel it is too minimal. Having to turn my phone sideways in order to see today's hour by hour forecast is far from ideal, even if I have orientation unlocked (if it's locked, your out of luck until you unlock, which requires another step). As I understand it, Dieter Rams said less but better. Here, the design makes the product slightly less useful than the stock weather app.
I dislike the moving clouds, etc of the stock weather app, but it actually gets a lot right balancing information with a minimal approach.
As for the widget, it is the best I've seen yet for a weather app. That said, it's impossible to see if you have the app itself in light mode. Also, I'd like to see it shrunk just a bit to take up less screen space.
From the description, I was expecting something amazingly new and unique...and while it is a good app, it's nothing special. There are a lot of apps out there that do the same thing...if not more. One of the biggest disappointments is this app's lack of information...it just has the very basics wrapped in a pretty package...I don't feel it's worth $2.00. If you want a basic app, stick with the stock weather app...it's free and does the exact same thing. If you want more advanced features, this app is not for you.
Beautiful, yet behind.
I love the look and feel of this app. It has an awesome UI. However, the features are lacking. For example there is no way to get an by-the-hour forecast in the today widgets, only in the app. Thus I am forced to keep the competitor app I had before Weather Dial 2. I want to get rid of it because I like WD2 better but the widget is much more functional. Please consider adding a day view with the forecast for the next few hours. Thanks.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
