You don't have to check your favorite websites one by one! Web Subscriber is a web-feed reader that lets you subscribe to many websites and blogs in one place.
Web Subscriber shows you all articles of websites you subscribe to as a unified reading list. You can also organize your subscriptions by tagging them.
If you start having lots of subscriptions, Web Subscriber helps you by providing smart and interesting streams of articles:
- 'Slow Feeds' singles out your low-volume subscriptions, so they don't drown in the noise of high-frequency news sites. - 'Hot Links' shows you what gets linked to from multiple articles to help you find what's important. - 'Images' lets you leisurely browse your reading list like a photo album of article images. See if something piques your interest! - 'Micro-Blogposts' Tweet-like untitled posts with max. 280 characters.
Web Subscriber supports any website or blog offering a web-feed in the RSS, Atom or JSONFeed format.
What’s New

- Fixed: Endless feed search for certain subscription attempts - Improved: Sync speed for large subscription numbers
5.1.1
Micro Blogging to the people! More and more, people start taking their micro blogging out of social media silos and into their own hands, I mean feet, er… I mean FEEDS! Web Subscriber 5.1 offers a "Micro-Blogposts" smart stream in the "Discover" section, providing you with an overview over all micro-blogposts* among your subscriptions**. *Micro-Blogposts = Untitled blogposts with max. 280 characters. EVERYTHING is new in this version!
Yes, 'Web Subscriber' is the app formerly known as 'Slow Feeds'. Slow Feeds are still there (with an adjustable threshold even) - and so are Hot Links and Images, all part of the 'Discover' section.
Instead of High Volume feeds, you now get 'All Articles' and - completely new - you get to tag and browse your feeds manually as you like as well. That's a lot! But is it too much? Don't worry: Instead of 'Zen Mode' you can now completely customize the sections you want to use if you want to reduce noise. You can even use single tags as top-level navigation section.
Other new goodies: - More list view options, everywhere (read/unread, with/without excerpt, reverse sorting) - Use Web Subscriber without 3rd party feed reader service
4.6.4
Layout Fixes for iPhone X
4.6.3
- Links to an articles own feed domain are no longer taken into account for Hot Links (Thanks Lee!) - Improved stability
4.6.2
Fixed: Crash when trying to share an article
4.6.1
Bugfixes - Eliminated some potential crashes - Bold text was omitting letters in some cases
4.6
Nicer display of tweet-like posts, microblogging, snippets, blips – or however you like to call the phenomenon of posts without titles. To make these posts look good but consistent with titled posts, quite a few design changes were necessary – in article headers as well as most of the list views. If you don't know what I'm talking about, subscribe to feeds from Manton Reece and Dave Winer :-)
Also: Fixes some problems with the subscribe extension
4.5.2
Fixed: Crashes in Zen Version
4.5.1
Bugfix release is fixing bugs :-) Fixed: Older starred items were suddenly forgotten Fixed: Feedly Authentication failed silently Fixed: NewsBlur Sync problems Fixed: Suboptimal split view collapse handling on 5.5 inch screen iPhones
Sorry! And thanks to the people who reported these instead of silently shaking fists in my general direction.
4.5
- Added: 3D Touch Quick Actions, most notably: "Add subscription" - Improved: In-App browser swipe-to-dismiss gesture recognition - Fixed: Some URL scheme actions stopped working
4.4.1
- In-App Browser (Safari View Controller) can be swiped away (to the right) like regular views - Fixed: Problems with sync for certain feeds containing special characters in their ID
4.4
- Migrated to the new iOS standard in-app web browser - A new layout for iPad, supporting multitasking
4.3.2
Fixed: Slow Feeds could crash while you were trying to re-authenticate a Feedly account.
4.3.1
Improved feed frequency analysis
4.3
- Added support for custom sync services using Feedbin, Newsblur or Google Reader-compatible APIs - Removed dynamic row heights in favor of smooth list scrolling and updating - Added the option to include the article title for URL sharing/actions If you like Slow Feeds, please take a moment to rate it on the App Store :-)
Small things: - Fixed style interferences between Slow Feeds and extensions, as well as between the Slow Feeds extension and its host apps. - Removed settings for "open in" browsers. If you have them installed, they appear as an action. - Removed custom Opera Mini activity. Opera Mini comes with its own extension now. - New RSS icon for feed management and other small design changes - Tweaked feed frequency analysis
4.2
The new extension "RSS to Slow Feeds" lets you subscribe to feeds of an URL from any app with support for iOS 8 action extensions!
Other changes: - Adapted layouts and font sizes throughout the app to make it look good across the complete range of current iOS devices
- Removed the remaining built-in non-browser extension (Delicious - brings its own extension now)
- Minor bug fixes and enhancements
4.1.0.1
- Requires iOS 8 - Support for new device sizes - Some sharing actions have been removed (use the new iOS 8 extension functionality instead) - Many small design and performance improvements
4.0.4.0
- Fixed: In-app purchase restore failed.
4.0.3
Fixed: App could crash while trying to fetch favicons for articles/feeds with missing information.
4.0.2
Fixes a bug that could lead to broken or lost manual feed categorizations.
4.0.1
Slow Feeds 4.0 * iOS 7 look and feel * Fetch new posts in the background (background fetch has to be enabled) * Add and remove subscriptions * Manually overrule the Slow Feeds/High Volume categorization per feed * Introducing a free and a full version (existing customers are automatically upgraded to the full version) * iOS 7 is now required * Countless big and small optimizations and changes
Slow Feeds 4.0.1 * Fixed: Not all x-callback parameters were getting correctly decoded * Fixed: Removing and re-adding feed subscriptions multiple times failed * Added an additional check for full version eligibility pre in-app purchase

Awesome concept, just needs a dark theme and “Mark All as Read”
All feed readers should incorporate this core concept, i.e., offer an “Infrequently Updated” feed view. I have been manually creating something of the sort by simply marking high volume feeds as read in Reeder without even reading them so I could be left with a “Slow Feeds”-like view. The only thing this app needs is a dark theme and a “Mark All as Read” function to be perfect.

Fantastic and underrated
This is an awesome RSS reader and even more so with the timely update for the X. I subscribe to mountain of RSS feeds so lots of interesting articles can get lost in the torrent. This helps to bring up the slowly updated feeds.
Been using it for years and glad that the developer remains actively updating it!

Could you check if it's getting better after updating to 5.1.1? I released a fix for a sync problem. If it doesn't improve after one more slow sync, an email to stefan@zoziapps.ch would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
