The webPOISONCONTROL® mobile app provides expert help with a possible poisoning. It helps users determine if an exposure is poisonous and requires medical attention. Did the baby eat a berry, a flower or a cigarette? Did you take the dog’s medicine? Did your toddler eat pills from grandma’s purse? Did you swallow something that might be poisonous? Don’t guess what you should do. Get accurate answers prepared by poison control experts.
Use the webPOISONCONTROL® app to find out if you need to call Poison Control or go to an ER. This free, confidential app will guide you. Just enter the age, substance swallowed, amount taken, weight, and time since the exposure to get an immediate recommendation.
Often, it’s safe to stay home, but the app will tell you, based on the info you enter, what symptoms to expect and when to call Poison Control or go to an ER. A barcode reader allows you to scan the product instead of typing or searching for the product name.
What's New in Version 1.1.0
Version 1.1.0 of the webPOISONCONTROL® mobile application delivers an improved user experience by reducing the number of steps and time it takes for the user to get a recommendation when a poison is swallowed. The app has an enhanced product search interface to make finding your product or substance easier. Both the mobile and desktop versions add support for additional substance types (such as flowers, leaves, and seeds) and an expanded database of products and supporting algorithms.
