Horrible
I've had WeChat for a little over a month and have been locked out of it due to suspicious activity twice. I only chat with one person who's a coworker in China where I downloaded the app at and it's been horrible since I've gotten it. It asks me to contact someone who's had WeChat for 6 months or longer to verify my identity. Then once the other user verifies my identity it asks them for payment information? What? How does that make sense?! I'm in sales and made a lot of contacts while I was in China and now I have no access to these leads/accounts due to this horrendous app. Not to mention there's no way to contact anyone to resolve the issue. By far the worst app I've ever come across.
Probably the best app ever
It does everything. You could have this one app on your phone and have everything you need. Living in China would not be the same without it, a must have. Can't say enough good things about how versatile and easy to use this app is. Not sure how awesome it is outside of China though... probably not as great, but a million times better than WhatsApp (if you don't mind your conversations being monitored that is...)
New update
Yes, this is very great app to talk to friends vocally and texting. Why did they update it? I liked having the chat photos in the settings of your group chat instead of searching them up through their new file update. I wish they would put it back, otherwise I wouldn't even be complaining.
