used to like this app
i used to actually really like this app before the update. there were some features i wished it had, like touch id login and mobile check deposits, but those things weren’t a great enough inconvenience to limit me from using the app. now, the main thing I used the app for at all, which was transferring money from my account to my mom’s previously already linked wecu account. i was always able to do it from the main transfers menu, now it is no longer an option as an account to transfer to, and the “transfer to family and friends” menu also doesn’t offer me what i used to be able to do. i also don’t know why they broke up the transfer process into a bunch of pages where you make a selection to proceed instead of having it all on one page like it was before.
also, the update said there would be touch ID login and there isn’t. I haven’t tried the new mobile check deposit but i will review it once I have.
it just feels like the functionality of the app was sacrificed to create something more “modern” and “attractive” in appearance. please fix it!
This app just doesn't work
I'm not even able to get past the first screen. I'm already set up on online banking but the mobile app doesn't recognize me. After clicking register, you scroll for about 2 mins worth of terms only to come to a screen that says register but doesn't tell you specifically what to put in the blank box. Then it'll tell you that you need to fill in the missing fields but it never even showed those fields in the first place! The whole experience feels like rushing into a series of dead ends. This whole WECU update has been a nightmare. My wife and I are considering changing credit unions all together.

In 2007 Apple Inc announced after years of speculation the release of the iPhone. On June 29th of 2007 it was introduced to the United States. Since 2007 Apple has change the world drastically when it comes to mobile communication.
Fast forward almost 9 years, to April 14th of 2016. I am seated where I call home in Bellingham Washington. Writing a review of a mobile application that looks as if it preceded one of the most marvelous inventions in history. Sadly, this application WECU has designed, looks and functions as if we were still back in Steve Jobs' garage putting together the first Apple computer.
I would say that it would be worth a little investment to get with the times and hire someone to show this poor app a little bit of love.
Two years ago, I wrote the above review. Today, I received in the mail some of the best news I have heard in 2 years!!! THEY’RE OVERHAULING THE MOBILE APP!!!! My steadfast prayers have finally be answered! PRAISE THE LORD! I will fully re-review this once it comes out.
