iOS 8+ users can connect with Apple’s Health app to sync your health and fitness data. With this functionality, the Weight Watchers app has the ability to access your total fat, carbohydrates, fiber and protein intake from the Health app, as well as track your steps throughout the day. We use that information in order to calculate the SmartPoints values of meals and activities. This feature is coming back soon along with others (including Recipe Builder, easier tracking, and more)! We apologize that a number of features were temporarily removed, but newer and better versions will be coming back soon.

Happy tracking!

Everything changes!

I'm a lifetime member of WW and back in the meeting room after having a baby. First go around I lost over 60lbs and kept it off for 2 years. I suspended my account when I was pregnant and got back on the program as soon as my doctor allowed which was mid December. Being a seasoned WW member I knew that the plan changes always come out in December to rev up for the new year. I'm breastfeeding and get a lot more points now and love the new program. The changes have made processed and surgery foods more points and whole healthy foods less. My number of point changed dramatically and foods that I used to eat regularly have changed. In my opinion change is a good thing, I've changed, I'm not the same member I was a year ago! The emphasis on eating healthy is just what I need to keep myself healthy and nourish my baby too. As for the app, I was addicted to it the first time I lost the weight and back at it again! I love the recent options is broke up by day so if I ate something today that I also ate yesterday I can track it from there and the barcode scanner and history is a dream. I know a lot of people complained about the app in the beginning of January but I didn't have any issues and I'm loosing weight. Happy Tracking y'all!

WW app

I am a lifetime member and I really enjoy the new smart points plan. I love how easy it is to earn activity points which motivates me to move more. My concern is with the app. The look is great and I really like how they added the weight tracker in the task bar at the bottom because before I would forget to track my weight at times. What I miss from the old app that I thought was great was when adding foods it would record it so next time you were going to add that food it would automatically come up. Also, the foods you've created meals with are no longer easily accessible so I have to switch screens to add it and once I've added it doesn't record it also so I have to add it everyday by switching screens. The restaurant list is a nightmare because before we could select the restaurant by the letter it started with or type it in a search field, now you have to scroll every time so if you are ordering more than one thing you have to list it again. Once you click on the restaurant it is not in alphabetical order. The part to connect online to a live coach is tough as well. My phone autocorrects when typing texts but for some reason when typing during a chat it doesn't allow me to autocorrect my words so for me makes the chat longer than it needs to be. Hope you will take my feedback into consideration.

App update fail

I'm fine with the new point system, though it is very difficult to eat some of my faves. It's the app I have an issue with. Super glitchy. I can't scroll from day to day and see how I've used my points, because they just won't load. Sometimes I can't even see them for today... The field is just blank. Other times, it loads the incorrect points for a minute, then they change. Also, I do miss the motivational stuff. It's my first week back and I lost almost 4 pounds. I put it into the tracker and-no love. I mean we are all adults here, but sometimes it's nice to have a silly little thing that congratulates you. The WORST part is the terrible restaurant section... How on earth did anyone think it was ok to just have a giant list without a sorting feature???? The app I remember allowed you to sort by points within every restaurant. Not anymore- you've got to already know what you want, then search for it specifically. Otherwise, you are searching the database for everything on the menu at once, in no logical order. Good luck if you've never been there before, there is no way to plan ahead. In fairness, None of these things directly interfere with the success of the plan itself. However, this tool used to work great and now some of the best reasons to have it are messed up... Looking forward to the update where these issues are fixed.
