You can use almost every feature without paying a dime, but there is a limit to how many projects you can work on at once. This one-time in-app purchase removes the limit, forever. It also helps support Werdsmith so we can continue updating and improving the app!
More creative at night? Writing ritual set at 1AM? Try our Dark Theme. Or personalise your writing studio with a beautiful Sepia Theme. Themes are available as separate one-time in-app purchases.
Thanks to the writers who've supported Werdsmith over the years! We couldn't do it without you.

Good and the Better on the way (we hope)
The app really enables you to do some writing while away from home. Just by filling up the five and ten minute gaps in life with your portable writing studio, at the end of the week you will have something pretty substantial written.
I am looking forward to some improvements: italics will be great, bold type good.
Also how about some better paragraph improvements? I would like an easy two or three space indent for each new paragraph. Space bar, space bar, space bar not so cool. Double spacing for the next paragraph not much better, but okay. A little floating button for a quick indent would help keep the paragraphs rolling out without impinging on crowded thoughts that have to be grasped pronto.
These are the hopes, still the first app I turn to for writing.
Oh, one more thing, if we could adjust the order of writings on the project tab; or how can we get chapter one to end up in top? Chapter one goes to the bottom as writing progresses and the last chapter ends up on top. That would be great if we could click something and have reverse the progression of the stack so chapter one (oldest writing) ends up on top, not the bottom.
I love this app. I really do. The convenience and ease of having this simple portable writing studio at my fingertips without the hassle of inaccessible menus and load times make this a godsend for my procrastinating ways. Well, sent from a God of mischief perhaps. I never know what to expect when I open this app. It may or may not have synced with my iPad/computer's updated writing. It may or may not vanish the paths for any of my notes. It depends on its mood, apparently. Lest we forget the non-existent support center. Either they silently dropped the support center or they don't care, they have yet to respond to any of my email over the past six or so months. It's not a bad app in terms of keeping tabs on your work, but don't expect miracles for this to sync well between any linked devices/paid online accounts.
To reiterate: I love this app, it's definitely my go-to, but it certainly makes me nervous. Fail-safes are a must.
Best Writing App
Werdsmith is, by far, the best writing app I have ever used. It is simple, easy to navigate, and is the only app that has ever been able to keep up with my quick typing. The options for creating and tracking projects by word count is a fabulous feature, especially for bloggers and freelancers.
The only reason I am not rating this 5-star is because of the lack of sorting options for your projects and ideas; everything is auto-sorted from most recent to oldest. This is all well and good, except when you have a project or novel that requires multiple entries, and you'd like to keep them separate. For this reason, I suggest adding an option for sorting and organizing by folders. I would even pay an extra fee to be able to do this, because no other writing app seems to have this rather necessary feature!
