What’s Up at Wallops

What’s Up at Wallops enhances communication between NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility and the public about current and upcoming WFF missions. View the date and time for an upcoming mission, along with additional details about the craft involved. Check visibility maps showing where you will be able to see launches, view 3D trajectory data, and use a compass to point yourself in the direction of the launch.
Device Requirements: Location Services, magnetometer, and gyroscope. The compass functionality requires these in order to work, and location services are required to obtain a manual location as well as automatic location detection.
Good app with room for improvement.
Displays basic information on missions out of Wallops. A must for viewing launches with a few good tools such as an arrow compass that always points towards Wallops & visibility maps.
That being said a few things could be improved. There is a list of missions going out of wallops, but the aren't sorted by date of launch and all but two were past launches which isn't much help to me planing a trip. There should be more info on upcoming launches rather then launches from a year ago.
The Wallops compass is also kind of buried in the launch data instead of being up front.
Generally there just isn't much to the app. I feel like there should be more like a connection to the live stream and more charts & information. Maybe a tab on where to go to view a launch or even a launch day guide on how full each viewing area is. Not sure how they would go about that, but it would sure be helpful.
A great tool for learning more about all the exciting things going on at NASA/Wallops Flight Facility.
Awesome companion for launches. That is when a boat doesn't pass...
