What's New in Version 1.0.1
Now bilingual (French). Bug fixes.
I liked playing the game alot. Definitely brought back memories when I used to have the books back when I was little. I like the narrating in the game as well as coming back to the worlds for a different mission. My favorite thing is when you can't find Odlaw and then he messes up your screen! I found that funny and awesome because it gives you a bit of a challenge. I also liked the fact that it gave you the chance to find more stuff. I would definitely recommend this game to a friend. Everyone knows about the Where's Waldo? books so it's great. Definitely great for kids. I have a little cousin who just plays the same games and I will definitely introduce him to this. I do wish it had more levels but, it was still entertaining. I can't wait for Where's Waldo? In Hollywood!
Ok, but could be better
It's fun enough, I suppose. Lots of variety. Fun animated scenes. Problem is, it's a timed game. And you can't see the entire scene/map. The game automatically zooms in to small portions of the scene where your object might be. It's great if you're a child & love the pressure of finding stuff under constrained time. But the charm of the original Where's Waldo books is supposed to be the myriad of scenes that he gets into. I'd like to be able to appreciate the entire scene & the animations without the pressure of time and the annoying automatic zoom-in.
The description says there's an "explorer mode" with unlimited time. What explorer mode? I've been playing this for a month. There is no explorer mode. All the levels are timed. There is no option to turn off the timed version & no option to switch "explorer mode".
Fun for all ages
I enjoyed this game and so did my 5 year old granddaughter. The adult vesion was challenging enough to keep me interested and the kids version was certainly challenging enough for her. We both worked through all the levels but it took about 20 hours of play time to do so. The upper levels were particularly challenging and the time requirement added a whole level of difficulty. The graphics were great.
