Great pics but nothing more
The original app was good but slow to download because it was so large. I loved the article and pictures. But it did not have the controls like in the new digital codex's. I was hoping the white dwarf guys would again start up the rules updates again and I was ready for it in this digital day. I have started to get the digital codexs because of the quick reference to rules the picture controls was awesome really gave you a thing to use not just say wow wish I can see the details. The visions came out and I was hoping it would have all of the look and feel of the codex's but it just had some great pic not really any control but the slide movement. If maybe had a zoom and I multiple views of the models and not just one it would have a leg to stand on. Games workshop needs to publish the now new white dwarf again in digital form. This is what I purchase and would love to get the new rule like the imperial knight rule that just came out.i do not want to carry a ton of books to my games that was way I got my iPad for one item to control them all.
Are they trying to go out of business
I am not a 4 year old that needs a picture book, give your readers some credibility by giving them some true content!!! Seriously GW could you have ruined this magazine any more, I used to spend a few hours taking my time reading the latest White Dwarf, making it last and enjoy it... I made it last this time... ALL OF 10 MINUTES!!! This gives you next to NO information, the battle reports which always inspired me is nonexistent! And you tout this as a new revolutionary magazine only to repeat last month and give us pretty pictures!?!
I could not be more disappointed, this is NOT the magazine I subscribed to, they had better refund my subscription or if the weekly magazine is worth anything I should be able to transfer my subscription... What a joke. I don't say this lightly, but this was easily the worse idea GW has had in a long time.
Not what I subscribed to
The new Visions is most definitely NOT what I subscribed to, and I feel cheated that I was not offered a pro-rated credit for my remaining issues of White Dwarf; the magazine I did subscribe to. And technically, that magazine still exists, only now as a weekly hard copy available in stores only. If I subscribed to, say Model Railroader, but was delivered Vogue, I'd be able to get a refund, so why not here? Just because they are both GW products does not make it fair or right. It's not an issue of whether you like Visions or not (and I do not), it's the hubris of GW switching subscribers without options to a different product, and Apple letting it happen. One more nail in the coffin of my near-dead longstanding relationship with GW.
