This app has gotten worse with each new update

Megzxc

The app used to be convenient and offer good coupons, recipes, a shopping list feature, and an easy way to view your local store’s weekly sales, but they’ve pushed several updates recently that condensed the app, removed some of those features, and made features harder to access (namely the local store sales). I’ve also noticed that I used to find at least a few useful coupons every week, but they haven’t given me a single useful coupon in months now. I also don’t really get what the point of this app is when Whole Foods is still printing out coupon books for the stores, and the coupon books have more coupons than this app. It’s complete nonsense.

All useful features have been removed

The Whole Foods app used to be awesome. We would regularly save favorite recipes and build categorized shopping lists with it. We found some great recipes in it, and it made shopping there fun. Now, it’s a few random coupons, and an embedded google map (as if I don’t know where the store near me is). What’s worse is the recipe section of the website throws up a semitransparent gray overlay and tries to force you to the app, which does not even have that feature, so you can’t even use the recipe part of the website from your phone. I legitimately don’t understand the point of this app anymore, and I’m a software developer. Why not just pull it from the App Store if you’re not going to actually maintain it?

Better Off Without

I knew a certain item was on sale at the store, but didn’t know when the sale ended. I downloaded the app, in hopes of finding that item and the end date of the sale. However, I found that only a selection of products were listed, and even then no dates were posted to let you know how long the sale was! Also, on the description part of each item, it would cut off and there’d be a “. . . “ There’s no way to read the rest of it though, so you’re left mid sentence with a minimal description of the product.

Not efficient, not helpful, and much less frustrating to just go without the app!
