Broadcom's WICED SMART™ Software Development Kit eases development effort and simplifies the implementation of wireless connectivity in an array of consumer, medical, fitness and home automation devices.
The WICED Sense TAG is made up of the BCM20737S
Bluetooth Low Energy SoC and five ST Microelectronics
sensors: gyroscope, accelerometer, eCompass, pressure,
and humidity/temperature. The BCM20737S connects directly
to the sensors without the need for an external microprocessor.
The WICED Sense smartphone application
receives and displays real-time data from the sensors
What's New in Version 1.1
Added settings to switch temperature scale.
Fixed UI scaling issues.
Added iPad support.
Unable to connect to WICED Sense 2
The unit appears in the WICED Sense app as the WICED Sense 2 Kit, but it can't be selected. Only the app DEMO can be selected which shows constantly varying inputs from all the sensors. I also tried the WICED Find Me app. It detects the Sense 2 Kit and detects if it is closer or farther away.
It connected to the sensor after crashing (not just the app, but Springboard). Reads acceleration reasonably. Temperature and humidity are inaccurate. The UI is not fit for new iPhones, and the look is hideous.
