WIN: What I Need empowers homeless or resource-insecure youth and adults to locate free supportive services.
WIN’s searchable database enables users to find and connect to hundreds of essential programs offering: * shelter *food *medical care *crisis support *drop-in centers *government benefits *legal counsel *transportation *jobs *education *hotlines.

Designed especially for vulnerable youth ages 12-25, all providers represented in the WIN directory offer assistance and services to unaccompanied youth who simply walk in, (allowing vulnerable youth to obtain essential services without prescreening or referral). Also included are agencies who serve adults and those who serve unique populations including foster youth, LGBTQ youth, youth struggling with mental illness, pregnant or parenting teens, and young veterans as well as victims of assault or sexual violence, sexual exploitation and/or domestic abuse.
To ensure ease of access to supportive services, once downloaded, WIN functions with or without Wi-Fi connectively! (Although only connected users can take advantage of features such as live phone, email and web connections to local providers and geo-locator services such google maps and distance sorting).
Not only does WIN support the ability of homeless youth and adults to locate area supportive services, and program providers, it also serves as a valuable tool for the community at large. The WIN directory can be an important resource guide for caring individuals who are trying to assist youth who appear to be experiencing homelessness or may be in need of supportive services.
At this time, WIN’s directory is able to connect homeless and other youth/adults in need to resources and providers in Los Angeles County, CA.
