Great, great app
I could’ve sworn I already reviewed this but I guess I didn’t. I did, however, send a friend an email recommending that he try it. And he did. And he loved it.
I’ve been using this app for several months now and it’s become indispensable to me. Most frequently I use it to put my RSS reader app on the left side and my browser on the right, but that’s only one of an infinite number of situations where this app can come in handy. You can put a window in any of 7 orderly configurations (1/4 screen at corners, 1/2 screen at sides, full screen by dragging to top) with a simple drag-and-drop. (Hotkeys offer even more options but I haven’t needed to learn them.) It’s reliable and stable, and the developer updates it as needed, for new OS releases and so forth. Any Mac user beyond the bare-bones beginner should find this app more than worthwhile.
Priced right, works great!
I have a another window management app that I thought was great. Cost me much, much more for two licenses through their website. I added a third computer to my network and balked at shelling out again. I figured that I couldn’t lose at $1, so I bought Window Magnet. It does everything I use the other app for (and more in certain areas). I removed the other app on the other computers and installed Window Magnet on them.
Worth the price (10.9.1 user)
Can’t ask for too much from a 99 cent app. Its not a memory hog and it preforms its window managing funciton well. I’d recommend it to anyone.
It lacks one crucial feature that would get it the 5th star from me:
An option to hide the menu bar icon at the top of the screen. Its annoying that it sits up there permanently, and there is nothing you can do about it. If the maker fixes that in an update; I’ll update my review accordingly.
