WindsCalc helps pilots calculate headwind and crosswind components in a simple graphical interface.
WindsCalc will retrieve current winds by ICAO code or let you manually enter winds.
Once you enter winds, simply select your heading and WindsCalc will calculate your headwind and crosswind components.
If the winds are gusting, you can tell WindsCalc to use either the sustained winds, gust factor or gusting winds.
WindsCalc also has a night mode.
You can optionally tell WindsCalc to calculate the winds with a magnetic deviation.
What's New in Version 1.1
Increased range of available magnetic variations to 45 degrees. (user request)
Confirmed accuracy of magnetic variation formula.
Don't Buy - unsafe
Amateur product; missing airports; headwind and Crosswind calculations are not correct which could lead to an unsafe condition for a pilot; additionally someone should teach the application developers that aviation winds are measured "from" and not "to", therefore manual entries as allowed in the application are absolutely the wrong direction.
Let me tell you if there's an aviation accident, the first place the victims would look to sue is both Apple and the creators of this application. You people are dangerous!
Don't buy - Bugs and unsafe.
It's a crappy app, don't have the exact data, don't let you use the app in general.
