Almost Everything Improved
The new app is awesome. It was a really smooth experience. The ordering online with wingstop makes it an option for lunch with my coworkers. If we had to order at the store or call in, I wouldn't be able to get anyone to agree to Wingstop for lunch. The ability to pay within the app, see all of the store details and locations, select the flavors and numbers of wings is perfect. The two improvements that could be made are with the user interface. When you select your item, you have to click "continue" to travel all the way back to the first section you made before you can add to cart. I often have to explain this to people since it's confusing. It would be nice to add the item to the cart after selecting all of the options, then being returned to the main item section to add more, or click checkout. The last thing would be to get rid of the ability to check multiple things for the amount of seasoning, fry flavors, etc. where you can have multiple check marks. If you check to have extra amount of seasoning, it should automatically un-check the regular amount of seasoning box. Thanks for the continuous updates and great wings!
App OK, but store not checking for orders
There are major differences between ordering by telephone and using the app to order online. By phone you call, place your order, and give your first name and the clerk tells an estimated number of minutes until ready.
With the app you have to log on with user name and password, work your way through a multitude of menus, choices, sides, options, etc. Then you have to enter your credit card information before completing order. Be careful here because it will save your credit card information unless you specifically tell it not to. Then the app tells you a specific time when the order will be ready; good luck with that.
So the app said the order would be ready at 1 pm. Arrived at 1255. Had to specify that it was an online order so she could look it up. Had to give my full name, not just first name. She obviously had not be checking for online orders as she ran back to kitchen to put order in. Then I was told order would not be ready until 1 pm. After sitting there for 15 minutes asked again about order. Some more running back and forth. FInally got order. Actually considered leaving, however I had already been required to pay for it in advance.
The point being THE APP DOES NOT SAVE ANY TIME AND IS FAR LESS CONVENIENT. The entire ordering system has to be working properly and the staff adequately trained to deal with the new requirements. Hoping for improvements in the app and in the stores.
The Best wings/bad App
The app is annoying. The last orders says: Order this again, but don't tell you what the order was! So you have to go thru all the prompts. Then it gives you an option of how hot Or BBQie or whatever seasoning you have on your wings, but it won't change when you try to maneuver the gage. Then after you are ready to complete your order, it gives you the choice to pay at the
Resturant or pay on line. I prefer to pay at Resturant & checked that; then it tells me over $15 I have to pay online & doesn't give me directions how to do it!! You must back up to the payment area. Tell me that b4 I check out, that I don't have an option!! So irritated, I almost didn't place the order!
