Latest Update: yay for Nutrition, boo for it being so buggy and step tracking issues
I am very happy that Nutrition has been added to the app however the budget seems to have a mind of its own — just when I get it where I want it (in sync with MyFitnessPal) it drops 7 calories for no apparent reason and now it seems to settle on being 200 calories less then what I had it at for the previous three days. Numerous forced restarts can’t seem to bring it in check…
Of greater concern is that it no longer records any step activity as a background task. I shouldn’t have to launch the app and stare at it to make sure it is recording my steps.
A feature request would be to add activities from workouts like walking on a treadmill to the steps — with the app feedback telling me I had been the least active I had been in 15 days after walking 5.2 miles on my treadmill this is very counter to encouragement — speaking of this feedback feature — I haven’t had any since at least the last update as well as no further notes when I have achieved a new low weight. That was at least encouraging feedback — something lacking in the app recently.
I hope you read these reviews and squash these bugs.
I have dropped seven pounds using this app in conjunction with their Activite Pop watch. The app catches my every step, even when I'm on the elliptical, bike, and other such equipment in the gym. I love how it calculates your calories burned and even splits it to tell you how much of that was done actively instead of just your BMR. It tells me how much I've slept last night and even breaks it down into light as deep sleep. The badges are fun and I love that it congratulates you for meeting your step goal. Seriously an amazing app and I owe my increased health to it as without its insights I'd probably have remained a couch potato.
Beautiful and easy, but overly aggressive and lacks editing
Great graphs. Easy to use. Works well with the scale and Activite Pop.
-1 star - My main problem with the app is that it is very, very aggressive with the daily calorie goal in the new Nutrition section. I'd prefer it to just match up with MyFitnessPal.
-1 star - The app also does not allow an edit for sleep data. Because it's all automatic my Pop sometimes thinks I'm still sleeping for about 15-20 minutes after I wake depending on my activity. I'd like to be able to clean the data up and edit the times manually.
