WnB Pro has been built from the ground up to quickly and accurately provide weight and balance calculations for nearly any general aviation aircraft. It was designed by a pilot that was not satisfied with the applications on the market. Useful for student pilots, seasoned pilots, and aviation enthusiasts.
Over twenty of the most common aircraft have been pre-configured as templates. You can easily configure a custom aircraft of your choice by entering the points on the weight and balance envelope and the aircraft’s stations. You can configure as many aircraft as you’d like.
Unlike other applications - the aircraft can be configured with as many stations, fuel tanks, and envelope points as necessary. Normal, Utility, and Aerobatic envelopes are supported!
Custom aircraft can be shared with other people or iOS devices. Setup the aircraft for your flying club and easily share it with all the members!
Calculations can be e-mailed to dispatch or whomever you'd like to prove your weight and balance profile.
The following aircraft are included as templates. You can edit the template to fit your aircraft or you can easily add a new one from scratch. WnB Pro is a flexible solution that easily adapts to your needs.
This application is not a substitute for proper flight planning and calculation of weight and balance in accordance with your aircraft's POH.
What's New in Version 2.1
-Support for aircraft maximum zero fuel weight
-Fixed issue where aircraft could not be shared if airplane contained an ampersand
-Fixed issue where maximum landing weight was not being carried over shared aircraft
-Fixed issue where envelope or station points could appear out of order on shared airplane
Very useful, easy to use, and customizable.
Its use is not 100% intuitive, but it's easy to figure out. You can store certain w&b scenarios, but unfortunately not in a way that you can recall a stored scenario and make adjustments to it. However the app remembers your last-used weight entries so you can close the app and come back to it later and continue tweaking your load weights. The slider bars have programmable limits and they make it very easy to adjust the weights at different arm locations and see the results instantly. You can define up to three different envelope boundaries (categories) for each aircraft (normal, utility, and aerobatic) which is cool. And there is no obvious limit to the number of stations you have. Overall it's a very useful app, although I do look forward to some improvements, in particular the ability to save scenarios and recall and edit them later on. Some sort of "weight shift" slider feature would be nice too, for those situations where moving weight to elsewhere would correct an out-of-envelope condition, although decreasing one slider and increasing another by the same amount is easy enough to do too.
Great app - a real time saver
This is a really great solution for quickly calculating your weight and balance for any given situation. The software is extremely accurate in making the calculations. I've compared it to the weight and balance examples in every aircraft I've flown, and it's dead on with the POH figures. What more could you ask?
I really like being able to customize the "stations" for my usage. I've "split" the pilot & co-pilot / passenger stations so I don't have to do any "last-minute" math - just leave the pilot weight set to my weight, plug in the other person's weight and the fuel quantity, and I immediately see where the weight / CG stands. A couple of times it's kept me from being "marginal" on the takeoff weight and/or the CG, which could have made for a dangerous situation. It's so east to use that it encourages you to use it for every flight. Get this app, and use it regularly - it could save your life! (Or keep you out of trouble with the FAA!)
This is a great app, for pilots, students, and instructors. The app graphically displays the entire W&B envelope with full and empty fuel, showing exactly how the center of balance will shift over a flight.
Profiles for many aircraft are included, but it is very easy to make your own. I just created a profile for a C-182T (the T variant is not included as a template) in about five minutes without ever looking at the on-line instructions. I just needed the PIM and the empty weight. Then, I posted the profile to be shared within the flight school I use.
I don't know if this legally counts as an FAA approved proof of W&B calc in an investigation, so I would probably file something on paper if I was close to the envelope, but as a teaching tool or a quick and dirty guide to a plane you fly a lot, this is really a great tool.
