WOL Wake is a nifty app to send Wake-On-LAN requests and monitor network reachability of hosts.
-- Wake hosts with Wake-On-LAN
Send WOL request to wake hosts. In order to do so, host computer should have WOL feature enabled.
-- See network reachability status of hosts
WOL Wake pings your hosts. You will see a green indicator next to a host if it's reachable and red indicator if it's not.
-- Address book for your host computers
Keep hosts arranged all in one place. You can also add hosts without WOL feature to only monitor network reachability.
If you want to use WOL to wake your VNC or SSH server hosts, also check out my app VNC Connect!
app is now tested with macOS High Sierra and code is converted to Swift 4.
Also some nasty bugs are fixed and the user interface is refined slightly.

Worked OS X Wakes Win10
I am happy. I have some PC only apps that I want to use but family uses Apple Devices (OS X and iOS). Instead of buying a Win 10 License ($200+), this app lets me wake up a remote Win 10 Lenovo Workstation Laptop in Sleep mode in a remote location within my house. (Obviously, I don’t want my Win 10 PC running if I am not using it.)My network is supported by Apple Time Capsule and a Netgear 16-port Router. Win 10 Laptop was connected with a LAN cable so I had to update the Win 10 settings in Computer Management so the Network card was allowed to wakeup the Lenovo machine. Setup steps are widely public information if you query "Wake on Lan” steps (which also hints that the UDP Port value for the setup is commonly 9). The only minor incovenience is that a Broadcast IP address is required in this app of the target machine to wake up, while other iPad Wake Up apps I use only require the MAC address and leave Broadcast IP blank. Instead, this app allows you to wild card a range as descriped in the in-app help screen. For example, all the machines in my house are the same IP address but the last number could vary. Allowing the 255 wildcard value to cover all possible value mitigates that you will have to reset the wake up config if there is a change in your network and IPs are automatically reassigned. Also this app requires the MAC address to be seperated by colons, not dashes as is the format when you read it on the Win 10 machine.
UPDATE: Changing my rating to 5 stars.
Background: At first I couldn’t add more than 2 numbers in the MAC address field and wrote a comment here. The very next day, The Developer responded and reminded me to add the “:” semicolon after each number off my MAC (not “-“ as appears in the Network Status Info. Once I did this, the app works perfectly.
Thank you very much!
Developer Response ,
Hello, sorry to hear you have trouble with my app. Remember to add colon ":" after every second number or character (e.g. FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF). If you still have trouble with it for some reason, you can try to copy paste mac address to field from somewhere else. I will update app in future to automatically add colons when typing mac address.
WOL Wakes Up SuSE Linux Server
I have a SuSE Linux based file server that I use this utility to wake remotely. Always works!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
