It was easy to get totally hooked. I have been a scrabble player for years and played computer scrabble almost every night. The skills involved are very similar. Within one week I was on the top 25 leader board. I haven. 't played much scrabble since being introduced to this gam. If you want to score over a million points learn the scrabble two letter word list and forget that x,z,q are worth any thing special..this is about finding 8, 9 and 10 letter word so be thinking about prefixes and suffixes. Learn how to use the two letter words to align the big ones. Eventually your perception of the whole matrix becomes stronger and you begin to see larger patterns. One aspect of the game that is important is that the words gain in value as the number of tiles decrease. Finding a 10 letter word in 40 or 50 tiles is a heady experience...have fun..this is a great game for word freaks.
I believe it would improve the game if "a" or "I" were accepted as words, but if one must have a 2 letter word (or greater), thus "clearing" the board (and ending the game) then have the computer recognize there are too few letters and end the game rather than having to go thru the "shuffles."
Also, perhaps rather than just "quit" at the end, "new game" could be added which could eliminate quit, then picking the same type of game.
So I got this game for my new iPad 3 and was bummed the graphics were messed up. I immediately sent an email to support and got a real reply in an hour (this was a Saturday, btw!). Anyways, they said they were fixing the problem and it was the truth. They even followed up with me this morning to ensure i got the update. So 5 stars for the great game and the customer service!
