Don't be discouraged!
I love this game and I've played it almost every day for at least a year. I get a good laugh every day when I am ahead by LOTS of points and suddenly one of 3 or 4 of the same people go ahead by millions. Funnier still when one of these same people get a zero because they tried to play again on another device. The problem is that the rules are not clear. Once you know what they are (and they are VERY complicated) it is easy to go ahead by a lot. To go ahead by millions, though you need to have a lot of time. Some rules just are not even listed, so you might never figure them all out, but keep on playing and watch what happens and you will pick upon it. Try to make 6 letter words while making sure you clear the color bars in order. If you make a six letter word watch what happens to the last letter. Then make a five letter word and watch what happens to the squares that had bonus points. Make sure your DW and TW squares are going to be part of a word you are setting up. Like I said, you need a lot of time to set it up properly and you might have to "waste" some 3 letter blacked out words, but you can set up and score hundreds of thousands on one play.
Really great, but it needs enhancements
I love word games and this is one of my favorites in a long time! BUT... it needs a few things to really make it great.
First, as others have stated, the rules are unclear. How are turns earned and what earns more? What causes tiles to change in the bonus round? Why do longer words sometimes add a DW or TW and sometime just replace an existing one? A page should be added that clearly details all of the rules.
Second, you either need to add an "undo" option or a "submit" button to prevent against accidentally submitting a two-letter word. This happened to me several times as I was trying to "un-drag" a word and totally ruined what would have been a good score.
Third, I would like to be able to see what the score would be for a word I'm dragging out before I commit to it. (Almost all scrabble-like games have this functionality).
And lastly, please improve the dictionary- there are words I've played in Scrabble and WWF that are not considered words in this game (and I am not talking about obscure words!).
Thank you for creating this game - I do really enjoy it and will continue to play despite these shortcomings!
Enjoying this one.
It gets my brain up and running first thing in the morning. That’s an important game issue for us old folks! LOL.
I have the same problems that many others wrote about, so I’ll not repeat. I just read one review that says this is an abandoned game. DRAT!!! Would be nice if a game designer would make up the same game with the issues fixed. Better dictionary, ways to enter words and not enter finger slips, rules and tips, even if posted on a different site, etc. I’d really love this game and it would be worth 5 stars (really 10 stars) all fixed up. My brain thanks you for the work done so far, and I’ll continue playing keeping these issues in mind.
