What's New in Version 1.2.5
Fixing issue that prevented email links from working.
I had been a staunch advocate and user of toodleoo, another list maker and a user of that app for 3 years. But compared to that app, workflowy wins hands down!! As principal in an architectural practice I have a systematic organization of lists that is constantly changing and clients that revise and rethink and require that the list to be accessible from many different screens, be accessible and interface with info from many clients staff and family BUT ALSO be simple and user friendly to the new user. It surpasses my expectations for all these requirements. I would love to shake the hand of the inventor(s) of this tool. I seldom review these type of things but given the benefits it has provided me i owe i to them. One word: SMART!.
Rip off off TaskPaper?
Update: I've been using Workflowy heavily for the past few weeks and here's what I've found on my iPhone 5 and IPad Air: While syncing is seamless and reliable, the iOS versions are very clunky. Selecting, dragging and reordering items is difficult. It's wonderful for simple lists that require little organization. But forget about it for serious outlining and planning.
I don't know what came first but this works disturbingly similar to taskpaper, which in its heyday was much better than workflowy. Unfortunately, hogbay had to abandon development of taskpaper, but I'm still using it and it works like a charm across iPad and iPhone without nearly a hiccup.
Simple, Smart, Flexible, Practical - everything an app should be
This tool is so simple to use and organizes the way my brain works (does that make my brain simple?). But don't be deceived, Workflowy may be simple but it is powerful - accessible almost everywhere, indexed searching, more keyboard shortcuts than I could every learn (or care to) and it organizes the way I want it to. I highly recommend you give it a try and see if you don't love Workflowy too!
