Workouts++ lets you completely customize your Apple Watch workouts to display whatever fitness data you'd like — from a 6 metric display packed with info to a focused single metric display. For each metric you can setup conditional coloring and haptic alerts to help keep you in the zone. You can even display graphs of your performance to help you understand how well your workout is going.
You can view detailed statistics for all of your past workouts (whether you've collected them in Workouts++ or not). This includes summary statistics as well as graphs showing available minute-by-minute performance statistics.
Your lifetime stats are also summarized to give you a better idea of what your past performance looks like and how/when you typically workout.
• Workouts++ requires an Apple Watch to collect the data it displays
• Workouts++ integrates with the Health App on your iPhone to retrieve the data it displays. It will request permission to access the relevant data types associated with a workout.
What's New in Version 1.0.1
Wow! Thank you all so much for the great feedback and for helping Workouts++ to have such a successful launch. While I am hard at work on some more substantial improvements for version 1.1 (including support for Swimming and location tracking), I wanted to get a smaller update out sooner to fix a few issues that have cropped up since launch:
- Add ability to PAUSE a workout (you can also do this using the Digital Crown)
- Fix a bug where metric units were not always showing when configured
- Increase the max range for heart rates in the Config area
- Add Strength, Yoga, Pilates and Functional Training types to the app
- Improve the Speed/Pace calculations to be less volatile.
Please keep letting me know your ideas and suggestions for the app. I read them all.

Really good bug fix update
This was a good bug fix update. My review below stays the same but no more bugs. I'm still really loving this app. It's a great tool for run training.
V1 review: Worthy of the ++ designation
Forget flashy design and marketing. The developer understands runners and training. This app is a cut above the stock workouts app and offers functionality that is missing from the big name running apps.
The ability to customize the interface is nice, but haptic feedback and dynamic color changes for run metrics put it over the top! I have wanted an app that allowed for speed zone and heart rate zone training on the watch. I haven't been this excited about an app in quite some time. Now my AppleWatch is a real training tool!
There are some minor interface bugs and glitches. You can setup multiple interfaces with the same name. If you do the iPhone app will not maintain a consistent sort order and the watch interface will flicker on launch. I assume these will be fixed in future versions. There are no major bugs. This is a great app
I have two hopes for a future release. 1) Allow for more zones on the pace and heart rate sliders. 2) Add a metric for cadence.
Lacks route info
I like this app but, unlike the Apple Watch native app, it doesn’t record the actual route map. So you won’t get the GPS info if you don’t have a Series 2 — even if you bring along your iPhone. And because the iPhone app doesn’t record runs (like, say, Runkeeper) and only displays the info, you won’t get the GPS info there either. So I’m going back to the native app. I'm giving it 4 stars because I don't know if Apple even lets developers pull GPS info and merge it with their third party data.
Fantastic app one problem
I love this app it is 100% flawless when it works use it for running 5ks and strength training and let me tell you it's phenomenal . It can track your heart rate to stay at a targeted BPM So you can stay on the top of your out . I can say this my go to for last 3 or months lately I have to try several times or reinstall it or I'll get an infinate loading screen which is the only downside . In which case I can't wait 10 minutes ... To start my work out .
